Required prior and related subjects: Previous: Interior design of residential and public buildings Related and following: Modern concepts in architecture and urban planning. Architectural design
Summary of the subject: The content of the discipline allows you to easily master the main trends in interior design and will help you choose finishing materials and create unique elements for the interior. The main concepts and methods of decorating the interior surfaces of walls, floors, and ceilings are outlined: modern materials for decorating and decorating interior wall surfaces; modern materials and methods of arrangement of floors and ceilings; modern methods of arranging lighting in structures; decorative materials in the interior. Considerable attention is paid to familiarization with world trends in interior design and decoration. A certain scheme of presentation of the material is followed, which makes it possible to structure the study of the subject according to increasing complexity. All statements are accompanied by illustrative examples. Practical tasks allow a deeper understanding of the rationale or provide insight into the practical application of materials for various surfaces. This will significantly contribute to the improvement of the organization of students' independent work. The clarity of material illumination is combined with a variety of applications. On the one hand, many finishing materials are presented in detail - from classic (paint, wallpaper, ceramic tiles) to modern ecologically safe and exclusive materials (3D panels, glass floors, coir, etc.). This makes the discipline attractive for practical applications and a good basis for master's qualification work.
