Required prior and related subjects: Pre-requisites: Architectural design Co-requisites: Modern architectural theories and doctrines Scientific foundations of architectural environment formation
Summary of the subject: The course "Modern concepts in architecture and urban planning " involves the development of group design skills in architecture, the use of new approaches in design, taking into account modern trends in urbanism, the latest technological, material and constructive means. Familiarity with group design approaches together with the application of a conceptual approach in group design are intended to qualitatively raise the level of practical professional design. Group design is closely related to the latest demands of society, which are dynamically changing and spreading into the field of architecture. The educational discipline "Modern concepts in architecture and urban planning" provides for the provision of the necessary knowledge in the field of innovative architectural activity, the development of conceptual thinking, the formation of skills for creating an author's conceptual project based on knowledge of the method of creative search for a project idea; approbation of system methods of project work, development of project concepts based on modern trends and innovations in architecture and urban planning.
Опис: The result of acquiring new knowledge and skills is the completion and defense of a course project. The sequence of course design tasks involves the formation of skills in performing pre-design studies and conceptual solution of design tasks for architectural and urban planning objects of various scales. The topics of the projects are devoted to urgent social problems, namely: the problem of the emergence of forcibly displaced persons. One of the areas of educational design within this discipline is the creation of a conceptual project for the task of providing housing for forcibly displaced persons. Taking into account the current realities in Ukraine related to internal migration processes, it was decided to take over the topic of temporary housing for internally displaced persons, designing public institutions of socialization and integration for internally displaced persons (IDPs) taking into account their needs in public spaces and specific needs of people with special needs and abilities.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: evaluation of the implementation of the clause and its protection, review of the status of the work, review of the preliminary presentation of completed drawings of the course project. Final control: verification and defense of the course project, differentiated assessment.
