Мета вивчення дисципліни: Preparing students to independently conduct pre-project research in their specialty and design their results, which will later be used when writing a master's qualification thesis. The practice is designed to shorten the term and facilitate the adaptation of a young specialist to real professional activity after graduating from the university.
Завдання: general competences: ZK 01 Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. ZK 02 Ability to communicate in the national language both orally and in writing. ZK 04 Ability to use information and communication technologies. ZK 06 Ability to act on the basis of professional ethics. ZK 07 Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. ZK 09 Ability to develop projects and manage them. ZK 11 Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). ZK 12 Ability to conduct research at an appropriate level professional competences: SK 01. The ability to understand the main scientific and theoretical provisions of humanitarian, socio-economic and historical sciences, the ability to critically understand and apply research methods based on mathematical and natural sciences, informatics and computer modeling. SK 02. Knowledge and scientific-theoretical understanding of the peculiarities of the development of historical and modern styles in art, architecture, urban planning and design of Ukraine and foreign countries, evolution of architecture, arts, design, synthesis of art and architecture. SK 03. Ability to scientific analysis, development and justification of architectural and urban planning solutions taking into account natural-climatic, sanitary-hygienic, safety engineering-technical, energy-saving, ecological, technical-economic requirements. SK 05. Ability to draw up scientific and technical documentation using information technologies, production of models and visual illustrative materials for architectural and urban planning conceptual, experimental projects of new construction, reconstruction and restoration of existing objects SK 06. Knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and practical methodological foundations of architectural design, the foundations of the typology of buildings and structures, urban planning, architectural-environmental and landscape objects. SC 08. Possession of project modeling tools, execution of technical images using methods and techniques of artistic and computer graphics for use in scientific and theoretical research, architectural design and landscape design, in projects of reconstruction and restoration of architectural monuments. SK 09. The ability to participate in the preparation of architectural and planning design tasks, in the organization of the process of developing a design strategy using data on field surveys, calculating the balance of the territory, the structure of the population, networks of cultural and household services. SK 11. The ability to understand the theory and practice of urban planning: the formation of settlement systems, district planning, urbanism, the structure of the master plan, the economy of urban planning systems, landscaping and engineering equipment of territories, renovation of territories, aesthetics of the architectural and urban planning environment. SK12. The ability to understand the theoretical and practical principles of designing residential, public, industrial and innovative typological groups of buildings and structures, their structural basis, methods of achieving a rational architectural and planning, volumetric and spatial solution, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, harmonization with the environment.
Learning outcomes: PRN 1 To have knowledge of the basic concepts, terms and meanings, the language of professional communication in the field of architecture and urban planning, to observe the norms of academic integrity PRN 2 Apply software tools, modern IT technologies, information resources in the process of solving research and design architectural and urban planning tasks PRN 4 Take into account energy-efficient and other innovative technologies, promote the ideas of sustainable development, humanization and harmonization of the environment in the adoption of complex architectural and urban planning decisions PRN 5 Initiate participation in the development of competitive projects, develop and present conceptual architectural and urban planning solutions, apply creative methods of activity PRN 6 Understand the social role of architectural activity, assume responsibility for the effectiveness and consequences of decision-making in the field of architecture and urban planning in compliance with the basics of professional ethics PRN 7 To have knowledge of the regulatory framework of architectural and urban planning, to critically evaluate the socio-economic, ecological, ethical and aesthetic consequences in case of violation of state building regulations PRN 8 Form the data of the pre-project analysis of architectural and urban planning objects and territories designated for development, reconstruction or restoration PRN 13 Develop concepts of modern interior spaces, design interior elements of residential and public buildings PRN 15 Determine the stages and directions of the historical development of architectural phenomena, critically evaluate, research trends and processes in architectural theory and practice, reconstruction and renovation of architectural and urban planning objects, interior design PRN 16 To develop theoretical, typological approaches to solving the problems of the formation and development of the architectural and urban planning environment based on the systematization of natural, humanitarian and technical sciences data

Summary of the subject: Practice on the topic of the master's qualification thesis involves deepening and expanding theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during studies at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels, working in real design production conditions, acquiring practical skills and initial experience as an architect and engineer -technical employees of the project organization, mastering advanced methods and techniques in the development of design and estimate documentation using modern computer technologies and programs. The student must collect theoretical and practical information on the topic of the master's research, summarize the information and formulate conclusions regarding its application in further work. In the course of practice, it is expected to use theoretical and empirical methods of researching urban planning objects and presenting the results in text and graphic form. During practice, students learn modern forms and methods of work in project organizations and architectural departments of state administration bodies, enterprises of various forms of ownership inherent in the market economy, acquire practical skills and experience in concluding agreements and conducting negotiations with the customer, developing architectural and construction documentation; collect practical material for a qualifying master's thesis.
Опис: Organizational meetings. Hiring with general functional duties, safety rules at the enterprise and at a specific workplace. Instruction on the procedure for passing practice and on safety techniques and accident prevention. Acquaintance with the working regime, form of work organization and rules of internal procedure, structural divisions of the enterprise, staffing schedule. Studying the rights and responsibilities of an employee; study of job instructions. Coordination of practice goals and objectives. Work in the divisions of the enterprise. Students work at the enterprise as a technician-architect, collect materials on the topic of the master's research, perform practical tasks. Summary of practice. Processing of materials collected during practice. Presentation of a written report to the head of practice, defense of the report.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control is carried out during the entire period of practice. The student is allowed to defend the report and receive a credit on the condition that the task is completed in full, if there is feedback from the practice manager from the company. The final control involves the completion of an individual task, the defense of a report, which must be submitted to the department no later than a week after the end of the internship.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
