Learning outcomes: - Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. - Knowledge of a foreign language. Ability to communicate in writing in Ukrainian and English (or other) languages. - Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. - Ability to systematize and understand modern scientific theories and methods and effectively apply them to create new dosage forms. - Ability to effectively conduct basic research in the field of technology, biopharmacy and pharmacokinetics of drugs. - Knowledge of the variety of dosage forms of pharmaceutical production, technology of their manufacture and use. - It is reasonable to choose the appropriate method of manufacturing dosage forms, be able to perform the necessary calculations and make them. - Create and organize pharmacy enterprises, provide them with medicines and medical devices, carry out operational accounting and compile a report on the activities of pharmacies.

The kinetic and aggregative stability of suspensions and emulsions. Infusions and decoctions. Characteristics of water extracts. The process of extraction. Factors affecting on the quality of water extract. Semi-solid preparations. Characteristic and classification ointments. Technology of ointments. Classification of injectable dosage forms. Stabilization of injectable solutions. Plasma replacement solutions, infusion infusions, types, classification. Methods for calculating the isotonicity of injectable solutions.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written report from laboratory work, oral questioning (10 points), current tests (30 points) • final control (exam) - 60 points (written-oral form).
