Learning outcomes: formation of knowledge about ecosystem restoration, biomonitoring and biosafety of the environment, society, biotechnological industries; - understanding of the theoretical foundations of the use of biotechnological processes and planning of experiments for the utilization of pollution of natural and artificial ecosystems using the processes of biodetoxification, biodegradation and biodegradation, bio- and phytoremediation; ability to assess and monitor the state of ecosystems and existing biotechnologies, provide professional services for health and environmental risk assessments; - formation of knowledge on biosafety of production and environment; use of methods of experimental work with biological objects and implementation of control methods for determining the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of biological products and bioproducts to determine the parameters of biotechnological processes in production and laboratory conditions.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Hygiene, human diagnostics and ecomonitoring, General biotechnology. Co-requisites: Modern application of biotechnological methods.
Summary of the subject: Eco- and biomonitoring of the environment and production. Biosafety, biosecurity and bioethics and eco-examination. Ecological management of environment, biotechnological production, resource and energy saving. Eco-safe biological food products and pharmaceutical biological products. Biological transformation and waste disposal. Biosafety and biosecurity against bioterrorism. Development of the bioindustry and bioeconomy to protect the environment and health. General methods of control of biological fluids and objects (qualitative and quantitative, chemical, physicochemical and biological) according to the universal scheme and step-by-step control of parameters of controlled and uncontrolled biotechnological production processes. Analytical, biochemical and microbiological control of inoculum of bioproducers and metabolites. Modern methods of systemic, cellular and genetic biology and principles of automated microculture indication systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: lectures; laboratory works (LW),; independent work; control measure Assessment methods and criteria: frontal oral interview and survey; individual task (IndZ); rapid testing (RT) reference work (RW) . Current control (CC) - LW (performance, protection and execution report - 20%); IndZ (processing the essay and oral defense of a multimedia presentation - 20%) - 40% Control measure (CM) - EO (10%); CA (50%) - 60% The final semester control (FSC) - the differentiated offset: the sum of CC and CM (including possible oral component - no more than 10 points) - 100 points.
