Learning outcomes: - Ability to conduct research at the appropriate level. - Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. - Ability to motivate people and move towards a common goal. - Ability to act socially responsibly and consciously. - Ability to search for necessary information in scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources. -Ability to select and analyze relevant data, including using modern data analysis methods and specialized software. - Ability to develop and implement commercial and scientific and technical plans and projects in the field of biotechnology, taking into account all aspects of the problem, including technical, industrial, operational, commercial, legal, labor protection and environmental issues. - Ability to develop new biotechnological objects and technologies and increase the efficiency of existing technologies on the basis of experimental and / or theoretical research and / or computer modeling. - Ability to plan and perform experimental work in the field of biotechnology using modern equipment and methods, to interpret the data on the basis of a set of modern knowledge and ideas about the object and subject of research, to draw sound conclusions. - Ability to develop and improve integrated biotechnology based on understanding of modern scientific facts, concepts, theories, principles and methods of bioengineering and natural sciences. - Ability to predict the direction of development of modern biotechnology in the context of the general development of science and technology. - Ability to apply modern methods of systems analysis for research and creation of effective biotechnological processes. - Ability to apply problem-oriented methods of analysis and optimization of biotechnological processes, production management, have the skills of practical implementation of scientific developments - Ability to substantiate, implement and optimize design solutions in the field of biotechnology. - Ability to organize production and manage biotechnological processes in industrial production and research laboratories. -Perform technical and economic calculations of design solutions and analyze and evaluate their effectiveness, environmental and social consequences in the short and long term. - Know the molecular organization and regulation of gene expression, replication, recombination and repair, restriction and modification of genetic material in pro- and eukaryotes, the strategy of creating recombinant DNA for targeted design of biological agents. - Know and evaluate the basic methods of cultivation of eukaryotic cells of animal and plant origin, develop new technologies for their use in scientific purposes, medicine, agriculture, etc. - Have the skills to isolate, identify, store, cultivate, immobilize biological agents, optimize nutrient media, choose the best methods of analysis, isolation and purification of the target product, using modern biotechnological methods and techniques inherent in a particular area of biotechnology. - Plan and manage research, scientific and technical and / or production projects in the field of biotechnology, based on current trends in science, technology and society. - Introduce the most effective biotechnological methods and techniques in practical production activities based on the evaluation of the effectiveness of advanced biotechnologies and taking into account the general trends in the development of new biotechnologies in leading countries. - Fluently communicate orally and in writing in state and foreign languages, discuss with specialists and non-specialists the results of research, innovation and / or production management and biotechnology. - Analyze and take into account in practice the trends of scientific and technological development of society and the biotechnology industry. - Formulate and evaluate requirements, substantiate raw materials, materials and intermediates in accordance with the conditions of biotechnological production, taking into account technological and other uncertainties. - Have the skills to develop and implement marketing programs and strategies, analysis and evaluation of options for promoting biotech products to consumers, setting optimal prices for it.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Methodology and organization of scientific research, intellectual property and innovation; Modeling and scaling of biotechnological productions in the GMP system; Modern application of biotechnological methods (bioindustry); Economic analysis of biotechnological industries. Corequisites: Performance of master's qualification work. Defense of master's qualification work.
Summary of the subject: Execution of experiments, conducting calculations, development of technological schemes, preparation of a report (review of literature, theoretical part, experimental part, schemes, conclusions, etc.)
Assessment methods and criteria: - proper registration statement and objectives practices completeness of the material (20), processing and links to documents (25 points), accuracy of registration, application diagrams, illustrations (5 points) (50%); - oral defense of report on practice (50 points) (50%).
