Learning outcomes: • Ability to use modern software to process information and solve geodetic problems. • Apply the knowledge of the Excel editor to solve specialty problems. • Knowledge and understanding of objects, interface and working basics in Scilab • Ability to compose algorithms and programs in the mathematical package Scilab, following the requirements of structural programming. • Ability to demonstrate basic skills in geotasks programming. • Applying knowledge to work with graphics in the Scilab to solve specialty problems
Required prior and related subjects: • Higher mathematics, part 1
Summary of the subject: In the course “Informatics and geotasks programming”, students get the theoretical foundations and working skills in the Excel editor and Scilab mathematical package, study the user interface, the main objects (variables, arrays, functions) and operators of this environment. They gain skills in structural programming, study graphics, engineering and mathematical computing capabilities in Scilab.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Work in laboratory classes (laboratory works), interview (protection of reports on laboratory work) (35%). • Settlement graphic work (5%). • Final control (examination 60%, written and verbal forms)
