Learning outcomes: ability to demonstrate knowledge and comprehensions of scientific and mathematical principles that lie in the base of photogrammetry and remote sensing; • the ability to use knowledge of technical characteristics, structural features, purpose and rules of exploitation photogrammetric equipment to solve technical problems of photogrammetry and remote sensing; • ability to use photogrammetric and remote data for the study of processes and phenomena of the environment • ability to use a variety of approaches for solution of specific problems in the field of geodesy and land management using photogrammetric methods; • the ability to produce photogrammetric algorithms for solving various problems, including the use of various methods for determining the orientation elements of aerial images • the ability to work with software modules of DTM creation by aerospace images, to work with automated systems of photogrammetric image processing.

Summary of the subject: Geometric and physical foundations of capture of aerospace image of terrain and their main characteristics. Creation of terrain model using a single aerial photo. Geometric distortions on aerial photographs. Analytical solution of basic problems by photogrammetric stereo images. Interpretation of aerial and space images. Application of data of aerospace survey and remote sensing data in the economy. Digital photogrammetry. The transformation of of digital images. The observation and measurement of digital images. Technology of digital photogrammetry. Remote sensing of Earth. Principles of aerial and space imaging. Fundamentals of remote sensing of Earth. Camera equipment. Sensors of aerospace imaging systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Reports on laboratory works, computational and graphic work, (45%) • Exam test: written, oral (55%)
