Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to use satellite navigation techniques to determine the position, speed and orientation of moving objects. 2. Ability to determine GNSS navigation characteristics by receivers in real time. 3. Apply knowledge to determine the vehicle's trajectory, route, and nodal points.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous courses: 1. Physics. 2. Higher Mathematics. 3. Mathematical processing and analysis of geodata. 4. Satellite Geodesy and Spherical Astronomy. Related subjects: 1. Higher geodesy.
Summary of the subject: The subject of Satellite Navigation includes the following issues: Satellite Navigation Objects and Terms, Definitions and Terms, Reference Systems, Basics of Location, Speed ??and Orientation, Measures of Accuracy, Basics of Routing and Direction, Observed Values, Digital Maps, Types of Navigation, Types of Navigation astronomical, satellite, inertial, integrated, routing and pointing. Also the question of the use of satellite navigation systems, navigation systems, devices and satellite navigation aids.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: defense of laboratory work - 30 points. Final Control: Exam - 70 points:     - written component - 50 points,     - oral component - 20 points.
