Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and professional program is based on the provisions and results of modern scientific research in museum studies, monument studies and cultural tourism, within which further professional and scientific careers are possible. Special education and training in the field of preservation, study and promotion of historical and cultural heritage, museum work and cultural tourism. Special attention in teaching is paid to mastering foreign languages (I-III courses) - English and Polish. The educational and professional program is focused on current selective blocks of professional training, within which further professional and scientific career is possible: • Block 1. Cultural heritage of icon painting, Archival science, Attribution and examination of historical and cultural monuments, professional ethics, foreign language for professional orientation, historical study of a region, circulation of historical and cultural values, basics of marketing and PR management in the professional field, urban studies and urban tourism. • Block 2. Historical memory and museum narratives, state policy and legal regulation in the branch, scientific and technological progress as a cultural phenomenon, cultural anthropology, international organizations in the field, local history, foreign language for professional purposes, design thinking, leadership and team work.
Gained competence: Ability to develop public awareness of the role of the cultural heritage; Ability to act in accordance with valid law (Ukrainian and international) in the museum and monument protection activities; Ability to expositional, scientific-fund, educational, cultural-educational activities on the basis of professionally profiled knowledge; Ability to analyze the origins and essence, the dynamics of the development of cultural tourism and its socio-cultural implications; Ability to design cultural tourism routes; Ability to form ethical attitude to the cultural heritage as the basis of monument protection activities; Ability to ensure the effective use and popularization of objects of historical-cultural and natural heritage in accordance with the monument protection law; Ability to project the development of museum and conservation network and museum institutions; Ability to realize interaction of museum and protection network, objects of cultural heritage with tourism; Ability to communicate and collaborate with state and public organizations, international museum and monument protection organisations; Ability to define the phenomenon of icon-painting;
Ability to realize the primary attribution and examination of historical and cultural monuments; Ability to independently carry out scientific research in the archives; Ability to describe the origin of cities, their chronological, spatial, ethnic specificity, the city as a social organism in the context of the development of cultural tourism; Ability to provide expert assessment of museum objects; knowledge of ethical standards, rules and responsibilities in the professional field, approved in national legislation and compliance with them in professional activities; Ability to explore and popularize historical and cultural heritage; Ability to work in conditions of modern managerial, marketing and PR processes; Ability to update the historical memory and to distinguish the origin and content of museum narratives; Ability to comprehensively consider culture in the context of sustainable development; Ability to understand the essence of the state policy and legal framework in the branch; Ability to determine the progress of science and technology in the context of civilizational and historical development; Ability to work in creative environment; Ability to work as team leaders and to develop leadership skills; Ability to determine the peculiarities of historical and cultural heritage of regions of Ukraine; to know about the role of international organizations in the field of historical and cultural heritage, in the preservation and promotion of culture in the world.

Occupational profiles of graduates: The objects of the bachelor's activity in the educational-professional direction "Museum and monument studies" are activities in providing professional excursion services, actualization of cultural values, preservation of cultural and natural monuments, exposition, educational and scientific-fund work of museums, development of tourist routes. These are young professionals who wield a wide range of information technologies, basics of marketing and management in the field of cultural policy, as well as two foreign languages. The professional level allows to work as: - guide and excursion specialist; - specialist of the civil service in the field of culture; - manager of socio-cultural activities; - designer of museum expositions; - organizer of galleries and exhibitions; - researcher and expert of historical and cultural monuments; - tourist guide - specialist in the preservation of cultural values; - museologist-historian; - museum caretaker.
