Learning outcomes: - Use oral and written communication in Ukrainian for professional activities; - To show readiness to interact with colleagues, to make management decisions in the organization of work of executors; - Identify social problems and needs and the reasons for their occurrence, development trends, consequences, social status of certain categories of the population; - Analyze the effectiveness of socio-economic support of the population and make appropriate adjustments within the competence; - Determine the content of cooperation with organizations and institutions in order to involve them in social protection; - Explain current processes in the social sphere and social welfare; - Use relevant research and apply research skills in the provision of social assistance; - Effectively work both individually and as part of an interdisciplinary team of specialists; - Demonstrate the ability to creatively solve problems and make innovative decisions, think and apply creative abilities to form fundamentally new ideas.

Summary of the subject: Conflict as a social phenomenon. Attributes, functions and consequences of social conflicts. Diversity of conflicts in social life. Types of conflicts. System-structural characteristics of the conflict. Systemic-genetic characteristics of the conflict. Dynamics of the conflict. Conflict management. Strategies and tactics of behavior in conflict. Principles and rules of professional ethics and effective communication in conflict prevention. Prevention of conflicts with citizens / clients by means of effective communication. Assertive behavior as a method of conflict prevention in the team. Strategies of stress management in professional activities. The essence, rules and methods of resolving conflicts. Principles and procedures of resolving conflicts. ARS. Negotiations in conflict resolution. Negotiation styles.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions, presentation of the study project (40%) • final control (verification event, exam), written-oral form (60%)
