Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to demonstrate professional competence obtained in the course of development of various disciplines; 2. The ability to apply the universal principles of coexistence and ethical standards of conduct towards people and the environment; 3. The ability to show kindness, tolerance, care for others, to confront the racial, ethnic, sexual and age discrimination; 4. To carry out an objective assessment of reality, to recognize international standards and principles of activity; 5. To avoid emotional crisis and conflict situations; 6. To articulate their thoughts and to Express them, and to maintain objectivity, consistency and labor activity in extreme situations; 7. To avoid overload and professional burnout, to develop stress endurance; 8. To lead a healthy lifestyle and physically and to develop mentally; 9. To carry out self-examination and self esteem, eliminate bad habits and shortcomings, to respect traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people and the cultural heritage of civilizations, to apply the socio-ecological knowledge of the coexistence in the environment; 10. Use the basic knowledge on the principles of state social policy and the way the social security of the population; 11. To identify patterns of social, political and economic development of the state and the formation of the social protection system of Ukraine; 12. To provide support of separate categories of the population with officials, government and non-government organizations; 13. To analyze the situation, identify the reasons for the shortcomings and failures of the planned activities; 14. To identify social problems and needs and their causes, trends, consequences, and social status of certain categories of the population; 15. To determine the scope of the constitutional and legal regulation of social relations; 16. The use of the regulatory framework for the conduct of inspections; 17. The ability to adhere to the current legislation of Ukraine in the performance of official duties in working with different social groups and individual citizens, not to violate the rights and interests of legal entities. 18. To analyze and explain relevant processes in the social sphere and social welfare; 19. To search for information from various sources for solving professional tasks; 20. To think systemically and to apply creative ability to generate new ideas; 21. Critically evaluate the obtained results, to handle and defend the decisions taken on the basis of actual / empirical data practices; 22.Combine theory and practice as well as make decisions and develop an activity strategy to address the specialty's needs, taking into account human values, public and state interests 23. To apply their knowledge for professional counseling of consumers of social security services; 24. Provide objective professional information to central and local state authorities, local self-government, public organizations on social development, formation and evaluation of social security services, social policy; 25. Effectively work both individually and as part of an interdisciplinary team of specialists. 26. Ability to autonomous professional work and perform professional tasks within multidisciplinary teams of specialists; 27. Ability to use a variety of methods, including information technology, for effective communication at the professional and social levels; 28. Ability to adapt to new situations and make decisions; 29. Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest trends in the social sciences; 30. Ability to be responsible for the work being performed and to achieve the stated goal in accordance with the requirements of professional ethics.

Summary of the subject: Social security in system of instruments regulating social issues. Forms, types and control tasks in the social security system. Monitoring the quality of social services. Monitoring the work of staff in the welfare services as social technology. Dysfunctions in the services of Social Security: typology, nature and options for their control. Corruption in the social security services and means of combating it.
Assessment methods and criteria: • ongoing monitoring: performances with essays and papers on the subject of the course, verbal examination (50%) • final control: written examination in the form of testing (50%)
