Learning outcomes: • to know: methodological foundations of pragmatic communication in the perspective of general sociological methodology; theoretical models describing pragmatic communication, social perception, communication and interaction at macro and micro levels; main directions and approaches to the practice of implementing theoretical models within the frames of information influence technologies • be able to: analyze pragmatic communication, plan communication actions in the everyday life of an individual, group, organization for the purpose of implementing and protecting social justice and public interest, to recognize and critically evaluate manipulative influences at the public level of pragmatic communication; adhere to the ethics of pragmatic communication in the public, corporate space.
Required prior and related subjects: • Theoretical sociology
Summary of the subject: Communication: concepts, axioms, models. Perception of information: stages and features; Universal communicative chain and intervention possibilities. Basics of pragmatic communication. Influence: theoretical and practical problems. Targets of communicative influence. Theories of persuasion and influence. Resources of social influence: verbal, non-verbal and symbolic. Communicative technology. Communicative campaign: concepts, stages, conditions of efficiency. Problem management. Communicative campaign - version "Information support of the organization's activities (events). Communicative campaign - version "Creating an image of an organization or individual". The communicative campaign - version of the "Information Campaign in the Situation of the Crisis". Strategic planning of communication campaigns. Information security of the individual and pragmatic communication.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interview, participation in discussions, presentation of the research project (40%) • final control (control measure, exam): written-oral form (60%)
