Learning outcomes: - Ability to demonstrate professional competences acquired in the process of mastering different disciplines - Ability to apply human co-existence principles and ethical standards of behavior to humans and the environment -Ability to show kindness, tolerance of caring for others, resist racial, national, gender and age discrimination; - To carry out an objective assessment of reality, to recognize international standards and principles of vital activity - To apply the ability to use basic knowledge of fundamental sciences - Understand the cause and effect relationships of society and manifestations of socio-economic problems in different categories of population -Ability to use knowledge comprehensively in solving social and economic problems of society; 22. Identify patterns of social, political and economic development of the state and the possibility of forming a system of social protection of Ukraine - Analyze and explain current processes in the social sphere and social security; 2. Search information from different sources for solving professional problems; Systematically think and apply creative abilities to form new ideas; 4. Critically evaluate the results obtained, process and reasonably defend the decisions made on the basis of actual / empirical practice data Combine theory and practice as well as make decisions and strategize activities to address the specialty's needs, taking into account human values, public and state interests - Apply their knowledge and understanding for professional work in the field of social security aimed at socio-economic changes 3. Provide objective professional information to central and local state authorities, local self-government, public organizations on social development, formation and evaluation of social security services, social policy To carry out analytical, research activity for establishment of regional, local laws and peculiarities of emergence, development, solution and prevention of problems of social security; 5. Ability to adapt to new situations and make decisions; 6. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest trends in social science Ability to be responsible for the work being performed and to achieve the stated goal in accordance with the requirements of professional ethics. 1. Summary of the subject: Modern trends in theorizing of the human and society sciences. Heuristic capabilities of modern sociological theories. Areas of sociological analysis of modern society. Sociological centers of modern Ukraine and key areas of their work. Features for application of sociological knowledge.
Assessment methods and criteria: •ongoing monitoring: performances with essays on the subject of the course, the verbal questioning (50%) •final control: written examination in the form of testing (50%)
