Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge. АіВ3. The ability to take a responsible attitude to the work performed to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.
Required prior and related subjects: Related and the following disciplines: Technical Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
Summary of the subject: The physics course consists of 60 lectures, 30 practical and 30 laboratory lessons in the first semester. The lecture course covers ten sections, which presented the physical bases of mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electrostatics, direct current, electromagnetism, wave optics, quantum nature of radiation, elements of solid state physics. Laboratory works in the first semester is performed in mechanical and molecular laboratories, electrical and optical laboratories. Students after 15 lectures write a work to test independent work, and at the end of the semester - calculation - graphic work. At the end of the first semester, students take an exam.
Assessment methods and criteria: Maximum grade in points - 100. Current control (ПК) - 40 (Laboratory lessons: 20; Practical lessons: 10; calculation - graphic work: 10). Examination control (EК) - 60 (Written component: 50; Oral component - 10). Total for the discipline (ПК+ЕК) - 100. Criteria for assessing the knowledge and skills of the student based on the results of studying the educational material of the module in a 100-point scale and the ECTS scale: • 100–88 points - grade A (“excellent”) is given for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the module, contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the studied phenomena in their relationship and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer questions, the ability to apply theoretical principles in solving practical problems; • 87–80 points - grade B (“very good”) is given for knowledge of the training material of the module above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to questions (possible small number of inaccuracies), the ability to apply theoretical principles in solving practical tasks; • 79–71 points - grade C (“good”) is given for the general correct understanding of the training material of the module, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions during development. connection of practical tasks; • 70–61 points - grade D (“mediocre”) is given for mediocre knowledge of the training material of the module, poorly reasoned answers, weak application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; • 60-50 points - grade E ("satisfactory") is given for poor knowledge of the training material of the module, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; • 49–26 points - FX grade (“unsatisfactory”) with the possibility of re-taking the exam is set for ignorance of a significant part of the training material of the module, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; • 25–00 points - grade F (“unsatisfactory”) with mandatory re-study of the module) is given for ignorance of a significant part of the training material of the module, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of basic fundamental provisions.
