Above-Ground Section of Pipeline Systems (курсовий проєкт)

Major: Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology
Code of subject: 6.185.01.E.092
Credits: 3.00
Department: Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding
Lecturer: Ph.D., associate professor Dzyubyk A.R.
Semester: 8 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: Knowledge of basic methods of research and analysis of loads, displacements, stress-strain state in structural elements, methods of design and verification calculations of products (ZH 18) Knowledge of methods of repair and operation of pipelines of various purposes and profiles (ZH 23) The ability to perform calculations when developing structures of elements and nodes taking into account progressive technological processes (UM 11)
Required prior and related subjects: - Fundamentals of transportation and storage of hydrocarbons - Assembly and welding works during the construction of pipelines and structures - Modern pipeline materials and their weldability - Mechanics of the destruction of objects of the oil and gas complex
Summary of the subject: During the study of this educational discipline, the student acquires practical knowledge and skills in performing the necessary strength calculation of above-ground sections of the main pipeline in accordance with the conditions of operation and implementation of welding and assembly works during construction. Skills are acquired in using regulatory and technical documentation, technical maintenance and repair of above-ground areas of above-ground areas. When performing a course project, preference is given to the design or repair of real above-ground sections of pipeline systems to the order of the base company, potential customer, employer, etc. For this purpose, the scope and content of the work is adjusted in agreement with the student and the supervisor.
Assessment methods and criteria: Presentation and design of individual items and sections of the coursework, which is performed in extracurricular (free from mandatory classes) time according to the assignment and under the methodical guidance of the teacher, but without his direct participation, in accordance with the criteria listed in Appendix 2 of the Regulations on rating assessment of students' achievements (75 points); Defense of the coursework before the commission (25 points)
