Learning outcomes: As a result of the module the student should: to know: - ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of basic natural sciences, the laws of history, economics, management and law, the main philosophical categories and general scientific methods; - basic principles and tools for setting tasks, - classical economic and mathematical models at the macro and micro levels; - basic principles of building economic and mathematical models; - methods of solving economic and mathematical models; - directions of application of the obtained results. Be able to: - assess the risks of conducting activities in the field of international economic relations; - use the general principles and patterns of economic and mathematical models; - apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems in the field of international economic relations; - to study the adequacy of economic and mathematical models; - to analyze economic processes in the field of international economic relations on the basis of these models.
Required prior and related subjects: • Prerequisites: Statistics; Mathematics for Economists; • Co-requisites: Enterprise Economics 2, Information Systems and Technology at the Enterprise.
Summary of the subject: Conceptual aspects of mathematical modeling in economics. Principles of econometric models. Linear multiple regression model. Generalized econometric models. Dynamic econometric models. Optimization of economic and mathematical models. Linear programming problems and methods of their solution. Integer programming. Non-linear optimization models of economic systems. Analysis and management of risk in the economics.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control (40%): performance and protection of laboratory works; • final control (60%, exam): written component (55%); oral components (5%)
