Required prior and related subjects: -prerequisite: International Economics, International economic activity of Ukraine. -co-requisite: International monetary and financial relations, International organizations and transnational corporations.
Summary of the subject: Chapter 1. Prerequisites for the formation of the EU and its place in international business. History of creation and main stages of EU enlargement. EU institutional structure. International legal status and main features of the EU. The role of the European economy in the modern world. Chapter 2. Features of the EU as an integration association. Common market and political union. Economic and monetary (currency) union. EU consolidated budget. EU common policies. Social policy. Competition policy. Tax policy. EU sectoral policies. Industrial policy. Technological and research policy. Energy policy. Transport policy.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Final control- credit (100%): current control- oral questioning (10%), work in VLE (10%), presentations (20%), work in groups (40%), individual assignment (20%).
