Learning outcomes: - knowledge of problematic, debatable and irritating pages of the history of Ukraine;
- acquaintance with the latest views of historians and researchers on controversial issues of Ukrainian history;
- ability to independently and critically study problematic issues in the history of Ukraine, working with primary sources;
- formation of an active civil position and a sense of responsibility in society, patriotism;
- students' understanding of the importance of reconciling different models of historical memory, constructive social dialogue about past and present problems of social development, integration and consolidation of Ukrainian society;
- awareness of the socio-historical and cultural space of Lviv Polytechnic in the context of the history of science and technology;
- understanding the peculiarities of the historical development and formation of telecommunications and radio engineering;
- knowledge of outstanding Ukrainian scientists and their achievements in the field of telecommunications and radio engineering.

Assessment methods and criteria: 100-point rating: currentcontrol - 40 points (polls. presentations, or a land written answers); final control - 60 points (exam), includingcreative work "History of my family".
