Learning outcomes: • Knowing of access telecommunication networks. • Knowing of the principles of telecommunication networks and access networks. • Knowing of the types of services that can be provided via access telecommunication systems and network. • Ability to calculate parameters of access telecommunication systems and networks. • Ability to deploy telecommunication systems and networks with the use of modern equipment. • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot software and hardware problems of access telecommunication systems and network.

Summary of the subject: The subject is devoted to the study of key technologies and methods of access telecommunication systems and networks, both wired and wireless. The student must learn how to deploy, operate and maintain the access segment of telecommunication networks.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Written reports on laboratory practicals, oral Q&A, tests (45%) • Term test (55 %, exam): written component (73%) and oral component (27%).
