Learning outcomes: Following the completion of the module the student must: • master the general methods for construction and analysis of radiocommunication and television systems, the main characteristics of individual devices and radiosystems of this type in general, the acquirer of radiosystems develop skills that allow to solve certain transfer of information task; • know the modern methods of statistical analysis and synthesis of optimal or quasi-optimal devices of multichannel information transmission systems and path of selection of the principles of construction of the radioengineering communication systems and television; • be able to design of the block diagrams of radiocommunication and television systems; select the signals and methods of encryption to ensure the noise immunity of systems and their maximum capacity and take into account the effect of environmental parameters and propagation conditions; evaluate quality indicators of these systems.
Required prior and related subjects: • Prerequisites: Physics, Further Mathematics, Probability, Statistics and Stochastic Processes, Signals and Processes in radioengineering, Statistical radiotechnics, Fundamentals of television; • Co-requisites: Methods of signals generation and formation, Methods of signal reception and processing, Microwave devices and antennas, Radioautomatics.
Summary of the subject: Principles of radiocommunication and television systems construction, the signals of radiocommunication and television systems, on radiocommunication wave propagation paths, antenna radiosystems, interference and distortion of the signals to radioroutes and methods to combat them. Physical basis of television image decomposition into elements, classification and structure of television systems, digital methods and tools in the broadcast television, features of cable and satellite television systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: • The current control during the laboratory and practical works (30%); • Total control (the exam) (40% - written component, 30% - oral component).
