Learning outcomes: Following the completion of the module the student should be able to: • carry out circuit design of devices forming the radio with the required parameters experimentally investigate their characteristics; • system integrators perform schematic and simulation devices forming the radio using modern software packages.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Fundamentals circuitry. Antenna-feeder devices. Methods for generating and forming signals. Basics of radio and television. Co-requisites: Quantum and electronic microwave devices. Methods of receiving and processing signals of radio and television.
Summary of the subject: Preliminary calculation of structural schemes and choice of components shaper of RF signal generator device. RF oscillator design. RF synthesizers Design. RF power amplifier Design. Design of schemes analog and digital types of modulation forming: quadrature, amplitude, frequency, the phase modulated / manipulated signals.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (30%): Reports of the calculations, oral examination. • Final control (70%): differentiated test.
