Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Modeling of information and communication systems Information transmission systems Co-requisites: Basic information and communication technologies Terminal devices for subscriber access
Summary of the subject: Mobile telecommunication systems are one of the most promising areas of fast-evolving telecommunications. Although there are significant differences between the known standards, they are all based on common principles. The "Mobile Service Communications Systems" course discusses the general principles of building and transmitting information in mobile communications systems, subject to the study are trunking, satellite, cellular and wireless communications in the unlicensed spectrum. The student is able to acquire knowledge regarding the methods and means of planning mobile communication systems, learn the features of information security and measurements in such systems. Knowledge will also be provided regarding the planning of the cellular service communication networks. The course of laboratory classes will ensure the consolidation of the acquired knowledge, acquisition of skills and abilities that are the subject of the study.
Assessment methods and criteria: Ongoing knowledge assessment: laboratory classes Final knowledge assessment: exam
