Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline is to provide students with the basic knowledge, understanding and competences necessary for the future professional activity of a biotechnologist in industry or research institutes of this field: studying the conditions and features of the cultivation of biological agents - producers of biologically active substances (BAR), the processes of biosynthesis of the target product, methods of managing biosynthesis processes, methods and techniques of industrial implementation of the biotechnological process, as well as introducing students to the principles of biotechnology development.
Завдання: - general competencies: Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. The ability to use professional knowledge and practical skills to solve specific tasks in the field of biotechnology and bioengineering. - professional competences: Ability to conduct analysis of raw materials, materials, semi-products, target products of biotechnological production. The ability to analyze factors of the production process that are dangerous for humans and the environment, emergency situations and take them into account when planning and conducting the technological process at the production site.
Learning outcomes: - to be able to make basic nutrient media for the cultivation of various biological agents. Evaluate the peculiarities of the growth of biological agents on media of different composition; - using microbiological, chemical, physical, physico-chemical and biochemical methods, to be able to carry out chemical control (determination of the concentration of solutions of disinfectants, titration agents, concentration of nutrient medium components, etc.), technological control (concentration of carbon and nitrogen sources in the culture liquid during the process; concentration of the target product); microbiological control (determination of microbiological purity of nutrient media after sterilization, microbiological purity of biological agent, etc.), microbiological purity and sterility of biotechnological products for various purposes; - be able to justify the choice of a biological agent, the composition of the nutrient medium and the method of cultivation, the necessary auxiliary work and the main stages of the technological process with the methods and methods of cultivation, biosynthesis, biotransformation, bioindication and biotesting of biological objects; - the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and acquire new professional knowledge.

Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The main methods of knowledge diagnosis are: current (PC) and semester (SC) control, which is carried out from the educational material, the scope of which is determined by the work program of the discipline for the semester. Current control is carried out during lectures and laboratory classes, in order to check the level of assimilation of theoretical knowledge and skills of the student, based on the total value of the assessment in points of all types of tasks completed during the semester in accordance with the work curriculum of the discipline and actual working hours. PC - performance of an individual scientific task (20 points), 2 written and oral express tests (5 points each) and laboratory classes (10 points). Evaluation of laboratory classes - each laboratory work is evaluated at 10 points, of which 5 points are for evaluating the student's knowledge of preparation for laboratory work (admission) and 5 points for the preparation and defense of laboratory work, at the end of the semester the average score is displayed. Semester control is a type of final control that reveals the student's level of mastery of the academic discipline, taking into account the results of the current control. SC is conducted in the form of a semester exam (written and oral control). Semester exam - covers written (50 points) and oral (10 points) components.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to clearly analyze the phenomena being studied, in their relationship and development , succinctly, logically, to answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–80 points – (“very good”) is awarded for knowledge of the educational material of the component above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 79–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70-61 points - ("mediocre") is awarded for mediocre knowledge of the educational material of the component, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 60–50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("unsatisfactory" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems.
