Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the academic discipline and the learning outcomes are to study the physical properties of materials of electronic equipment; studying the physical essence of the processes that occur in conductors, semiconductors, dielectric, magnetic and nanomaterials; formation of students' ideas about the prospects for the development and application of materials of electronic equipment.
Завдання: General competences: GC6. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. Special (professional, subject) competences: SC9. The ability to determine and evaluate the characteristics and parameters of electronic equipment materials, analog and digital electronic devices for the design of microprocessor and electronic systems, devices of functional, quantum and laser electronics.
Learning outcomes: Program learning outcomes: P1. Describe the principle of operation using scientific concepts, theories and methods and verify the results in the design and application of electronic devices, devices and systems. P4. Evaluate the characteristics and parameters of electronic equipment materials, understand the basics of solid-state electronics, electrical engineering, analog and digital circuit engineering, conversion and microprocessor engineering. P6. Apply experimental skills (knowledge of experimental methods and the procedure for conducting experiments) to test hypotheses and research electronic phenomena, be able to use standard equipment, plan, draw up diagrams; analyze, model and critically evaluate the obtained results. P9.Design complex real-time systems and data acquisition and processing tools coordinated with specified information and software tools through the use of microcontroller-based embedded systems software. P10. Develop technical means for constructing and diagnosing the technical condition of electronic devices and systems, organize and carry out scheduled and unscheduled repairs, adjustments and re-adjustments of electronic equipment in accordance with current production requirements. P12.Use documentation related to professional activities with the use of modern technologies and office equipment; use English, including special terminology, to communicate with specialists, conduct literature searches and read texts on technical and professional topics. P13.Be able to use new knowledge, advanced technologies and innovations, find new non-template solutions and means of their implementation; meet the requirements of flexibility in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals, rational use and regulation of time, discipline, responsibility for their decisions and activities. P14. Adhere to the norms of modern Ukrainian business and professional language. P16. Apply an understanding of the theory of stochastic processes, methods of statistical processing and data analysis to solve professional problems. P17. Demonstrate skills in conducting experimental research related to professional activity; improve measurement methods; control the reliability of the obtained results; systematize and analyze data obtained experimentally. P18. Apply the methods of mathematical modeling and optimization of electronic systems for the development of automated and robotic production complexes. Communication: К4. Improvement of personal communication competence based on interpersonal communication skills and abilities based on interpersonal communication skills and abilities, taking into account social, cultural, religious and personal factors. Autonomy and responsibility: AB2. Responsible attitude to professional duties and performed work, independence in making and implementing decisions in the process of overcoming educational difficulties, relying on one's own experience in creatively solving the problems.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of the main groups of materials used in electronic technology: dielectrics, semiconductors, conductors, magnetic and nanomaterials. Basic electrophysical parameters and characteristics of materials, structure, use for electronic devices, semiconductor and hybrid microcircuits are explained. Development directions, new promising types of materials are considered: nanostructured, quantum dimensional, composite and organic materials.

Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: completed and protected laboratory work, solving problems in the classroom, completing homework. Final control: exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Distribution of points on a 100-point scale. Current control (40 points): laboratory works - 25 points; practical work - 15 points. Examination control – 60 points (written component – 50 points, oral component – 10 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
