Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the academic discipline and the learning outcomes are the study of physical phenomena and processes in solid-state and semiconductor devices; establishment of qualitative and quantitative regularities of electrophysical and optical processes in them.
Завдання: Integral competence: the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems, characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions, during professional activities in the field of electronics, or in the process of learning, which involves the application of theories and methods of electronics. General competences: GC2. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. GC6. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. Special (professional, subject) competences: SC1. The ability to use knowledge and understanding of scientific facts, concepts, theories, principles and methods for the design and application of electronics devices, devices and systems. SC3. The ability to integrate knowledge of the fundamental sections of physics and chemistry to understand the processes of solid-state, functional and power electronics, electrical engineering. SCK9. The ability to determine and evaluate the characteristics and parameters of electronic equipment materials, analog and digital electronic devices for the design of microprocessor and electronic systems, devices of functional, quantum and laser electronics.
Learning outcomes: Program learning outcomes: P 1. To describe the principle of operation using scientific concepts, theories and methods and to check the results in the design and application of electronics devices, devices and systems. P 3. To find solutions to practical problems of electronics by applying relevant models and theories of electrodynamics, analytical mechanics, electromagnetism, statistical physics, solid state physics. K2. Use of communicative competence for effective interaction in various spheres of communication; selection and systematization of information materials for the purpose of communication in the professional sphere. AB5. The ability to independently prepare tasks, organize team professional interaction, develop project solutions taking into account uncertainty, develop relevant methodological and regulatory documents, as well as proposals and measures for the implementation of developed projects and programs.

Summary of the subject: The program of the study discipline "Physical foundations of electronic engineering" is designed for students of the Institute of Telecommunications, Radio Electronics and Electronic Engineering who are studying Electronics. The course has a practical direction, providing students with the opportunity to acquire general professional competence in the field of "Electronics" from the physical foundations of electronic equipment. Training is carried out by integrating technical skills and knowledge of physical laws and processes in accordance with a certain academic and professional field of activity of students. Self-education is considered an integral part of this educational course, and special attention in the program is paid to independent work of students.
Опис: Introduction. The subject and its tasks. The structure and content of the discipline, its connection with other disciplines. Microparticles. Properties and characteristics. Movement of charged particles in an electromagnetic field. Principles of quantum theory. Stationary Schrodinger equation. Elements of statistical physics. Crystal bed. Elements of the zone theory of solids. Electrical conductivity of solid bodies. Electrical conductivity of semiconductors in strong electric fields. Non-equilibrium phenomena in semiconductors Phenomena at the interface of media. Semiconductor diodes. The phenomenon of thermoelectron emission. Electrostatic electron emission. Photoelectron emission. Secondary electron emission. The main processes in gas discharge and their general regularities. Classification of gas discharges. Gas discharge plasma.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: completed and protected practical work, solving problems in the classroom, completing homework. Final control: exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (30 points): laboratory works - 20 points; practical classes - 10 points. Examination control (70 points): written component – 50 points; oral component - 20 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the coursework is to deepen theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the study of physical phenomena and processes in solid-state and semiconductor devices.
Завдання: комплексністю та невизначеністю умов, під час професійної діяльності у галузі електроніки, або у процесі навчання, що передбачає застосування теорій та методів електроніки. Загальні компетентності: ЗК2. Знання та розуміння предметної області та розуміння професійної діяльності. ЗК6. Здатність вчитися і оволодівати сучасними знаннями. Спеціальні (фахові, предметні) компетентності: СК1. Здатність використовувати знання і розуміння наукових фактів, концепцій, теорій, принципів і методів для проектування та застосування приладів, пристроїв та систем електроніки. СК3. Здатність інтегрувати знання фундаментальних розділів фізики та хімії для розуміння процесів твердотільної, функціональної та енергетичної електроніки, електротехніки. СК9. Summary of the subject: The course work is designed to form and develop the ability and skills to analyze the physical processes and phenomena on which the principle of operation and construction of modern semiconductor devices. Consolidate knowledge about the properties of elementary particles and their interaction with force fields; basics of band theory of solids and basic electrophysical processes in them.
Опис: Stages of course work: 1. Familiarization with the task, the methodology of the course project (term paper) and clarification of the task option. 2. Analysis of literary sources for writing the theoretical part of the course work. 3. Analysis of the settlement part. Construction of the model of deflecting plates, the main stages of sensitivity calculation. 4. Designing the theoretical part to do. 5. Completion of the estimated part of the work. Analysis of the obtained results. 6. Protection of term paper.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Current control in the form of inspection by the teacher of parts of the course work in accordance with the description of the stages of the course work. 2. Final control in the form of defense of course work.
