Мета вивчення дисципліни: The objective of the discipline and learning outcomes is to study the physical and microsystems fundamentals of building the element base of devices and components in the areas of development of functional electronics (optoelectronics, acoustoelectronics, dielectric electronics, semiconductor electronics, magnetoelectronics, molecular electronics and chemoelectronics).
Завдання: Special (professional, subject) competences: SC3. The ability to integrate knowledge of the fundamental sections of physics and chemistry to understand the processes of solid-state, functional and power electronics, electrical engineering.
Learning outcomes: Program learning outcomes: Р 3. To find solutions to practical problems of electronics by applying the relevant models and theories of electrodynamics, analytical mechanics, electromagnetism, statistical physics, solid state physics. Р4. To evaluate the characteristics and parameters of electronic materials, to understand the basics of solid-state electronics, electrical engineering, analog and digital circuitry, converter and microprocessor technology. Р 6. To apply experimental skills (knowledge of experimental methods and experimental procedures) to test hypotheses and study electronics phenomena, to be able to use standard equipment, plan, draw up schemes; analyze, model and critically evaluate the results obtained.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Materials of electronic engineering, Physical bases of electronic engineering, Element base of solid-state electronics. Corequisites: Quantum electronics and laser technology. Fundamentals of modeling for electronic engineering.
Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to the study of functional electronics and its place in the development of modern electronic technology. The main types of functional devices and features of their application in the creation of modern electronic devices are analyzed.
Опис: Functional electronics and its place in the development of modern electronic technology. Physical fields and processes that occur in functional electronics environments. Functional optoelectronics. Classification of optoelectronic devices and physical processes in them. Functional acoustoelectronics. Generators and receivers of acoustic waves. Piezoelectric semiconductor transducers. Functional dielectric electronics. Thin-film dielectrics in functional electronics. Functional semiconductor electronics. Devices and devices of functional semiconductor electronics. Functional magnetoelectronics. Magnetic environments. Elements and devices of functional magnetoelectronics Functional molecular electronics and chemotronics. Devices and devices of functional molecular electronics. Functional chemotronics.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: control and practical works, performance of individual homework. Final control: exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Distribution of points on a 100-point scale. Current control: practical work - 10 points; laboratory work - 30 points. Examination control - 60 points (written component - 50 points, oral component - 10 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the course work is to acquire the ability of independent work of the students, to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired during the study of special disciplines, as well as to develop the ability of independent problem solving in the design of electronic devices and systems.

Summary of the subject: The purpose of the course work is to acquire the ability of independent work of the students, to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired during the study of special disciplines, as well as to develop the ability of independent problem solving in the design of electronic devices and systems. The course work makes it possible to determine the degree of mastery of the educational material and the ability of students to apply knowledge, as well as to prepare students for the study of other disciplines. The explanation of the course work should contain textual and illustrative material.
Опис: Stages of the term paper: 1. Familiarization with the task, methodology of the course project (term paper) and clarification of the task variant. 2. Literature review and analysis of physical processes in optoelectronic devices. 3. Calculation of design and technological parameters of an electronic element or device, manufacturing. 4. Design of the course work. 5. Defense of the term paper.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Current control in the form of a teacher checking parts of the course work according to the description of the stages of the course work. 2. Final control in the form of coursework defense.
