Learning outcomes: IC The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions. GC 2. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. PC 1. Knowledge of the nature, dynamics, principles of organization and historical trends in the development of international relations. PC 2. Ability to understand international relations in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. PC 3. Knowledge of the state of research in international relations and world politics in political, economic, legal sciences, in interdisciplinary studies. PC 5. The ability to independently investigate the problems of international relations, prepare and carry out public approval of research results. LO 1. the ability to demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of scientific principles and research methodology in the field of international relations, public communications, and regional studies. Skill 1. Substantiate and explain current processes in the field of international relations and foreign policy at the global and regional levels. Skill 4. Think systematically and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas. Skill 10. Apply creative abilities when interpreting events at the global, regional and local levels, taking into account the historical prerequisites for the emergence and development of specific situations in the field of international relations, Ukraine's interactions with other countries of the world. Com 1. the ability to defend the national interests of Ukraine in communications, to be able to combine a humanistic, socially responsible and patriotic position. AandV 1. the ability to argue the choice of mechanisms for solving professional problems, critically evaluate the obtained results and defend the decisions made; AandV 2. the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest stages of the development of the theory of international relations, the formulation of new political science concepts and visions of the development of the international system.

Summary of the subject: The emergence of ideas about international relations in the era of the Ancient East. Ancient Greek ideas and concepts on international issues. Roman political and legal thought on international relations. Medieval approaches to the analysis of international relations. Innovations of the Renaissance and Reformation in the consideration of international relations. Basic ideas, concepts and theories of international relations of the New Age. Ideas, concepts and theories of the Enlightenment. Basic ideas, concepts and theories of international relations of the XIX century. International relations in the concepts of thinkers of the first half of the XX century. International relations in the concepts of thinkers of the second half of the XX century. The latest approaches to international relations, proposed at the beginning of the XXI century. History of ideas, concepts and theories of international relations in Ukrainian political thought.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (40% - oral examination, reports, discussions, writing essays, case-study research, preparation of presentations on a given topic). • Final control (60% - examination).
