Learning outcomes: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: integral - The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, social communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations. general: - the ability to work in an international context. professional: - Ability to distinguish signs and trends of development, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. - Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. - The ability to analyze the nature and evolution of international organizations, their place in the system of international relations, the main forms and perspectives of Ukraine's cooperation with them. - Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions. - the ability to use theoretical provisions in practice for the analysis of specific spheres of international relations and trends in their development; - the ability to describe objects and analyze processes and specific situations in the field of international relations and foreign policy through the prism of historical and geopolitical approaches; - the ability to use the acquired knowledge and skills to study the nature, sources and institutions of foreign policy of states, the peculiarities of their functioning and interactions based on the comparativist method; - understanding of regionalism as a development trend of modern international relations, knowledge of basic categories, latest theories, concepts of regionalism; - the ability to analyze specific facts, phenomena, processes and forecast trends in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation; - understanding of modern ethnopolitical processes and their influence on regional and cross-border cooperation of states; - knowledge of the basics of European regional policy.

Assessment methods and criteria: lectures, seminars, distance learning. • Current control (40 %): oral examination, speeches at seminars, writing test. • Final control (60%): exam (three-level testing).
