Learning outcomes: - To demonstrate ability of studying the processes of global communication; - To demonstrate knowledge of the criteria of analysis of international information relations; - To demonstrate knowledge of definition of criteria for international information policy, legal regulation of the international information field; - To demonstrate knowledge of the methodology of international information security; - To demonstrate knowledge of the functioning features of the information economy, information and analytical support of foreign policy; - To demonstrate knowledge of skills development in applied research in the field of information and communication.
Required prior and related subjects: pre-requisites: • The theory of international relations; co-requisites: •Bachelor’s Thesis Preparation.
Summary of the subject: International information as a component of global communication. Information society in the dimensions of the global development innovation-information paradigm. Infrastructure and the specifics of the information market functioning. Information-analytical activity in the field of international relations. Concepts, varieties and sources of analytical information. Information and analytical centers in modern international relations. Technologies of international information. Modern international information systems. Information wars. Informational security.
Assessment methods and criteria: • formative assessment: oral questioning, written questioning, individual home assignments preparation (40%); • summative assessment: credit in written and oral form (60%).
