Summary of the subject: The academic discipline "Higher and applied mathematics" consists of sections: "Linear algebra and analytic geometry", "Mathematical analysis", "Рrobability theory" and "Mathematical statistics". The first section deals with the following topics: "Matrices and determinants, systems of linear equations", "Elements of vector algebra" and "The main problems of analytic geometry on a plane". The second section consists of the topics: "The limit of a function. Continuity", "Differential calculus of a single variable", "Indefinite integral", "Definite integral". The third section consists of the topics: "Random events", "Discrete random variables" and "Continuous random variables". The fourth section consists of the topics: "Elements of mathematical statistics", "Statistical estimates", "Elements of the correlation and regression theory".
Assessment methods and criteria: Diagnosis of students' knowledge is carried out with the help of questioning in practical classes, tests and individual work.
