Learning outcomes: study of the purpose, composition, structure and functions of geographic information systems; composition of geospatial information, its transformation, means of display in GIS; formation of a modern idea of modeling real-world objects; organization and creation of geospatial data, as well as the beginnings of GIS - analysis, students acquire practical skills of analysis of existing recreational opportunities of the enterprise and the territory to solve management problems using GIS technologies; identification, classification and provision of information using applied GIS technologies.

Summary of the subject: 1. General Characteristics of GIS. 2 The composition of GIS. 3 Raster and vector models of spatial data in GIS. 4 TIN surface representation models. 5. Collection, processing and organization of data in GIS. 6. Analytical operations in GIS. 7. Analysis of networks. 8. GIS applications.
Assessment methods and criteria: The current control (35%) are workshops, oral interviews and test; The final control (65%) is an exam.
