Learning outcomes: Knowledge of the essential social factors that promote or hinder the development of tourism in the society, trends of tourism development at appropriate stages, the chronology of the main stages and events in the history of hospitality in tourism, depending on the development of scientific and technical progress, development of education and culture in society.
Required prior and related subjects: The organization of the hotel industry; Organization of restaurant business
Summary of the subject: The concept and content of hospitality in ancient cultures and the evolution of hospitality traditions. The development of hotel business and service accommodation in the hospitality industry. The restaurant business and the main types of hospitality supply. A hospitable environment of leisure and tourism institutions. The celebration and sights as a part of the culture of hospitality in tourism.
Assessment methods and criteria: The current control (40%) are laboratory classes, workshops, oral interviews and independent work. - The final control (60%) is an credit.
