Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: general competences: ZK-1. Ability to search and analyze information from various sources; professional competences: FK-1. The ability to understand the essence and significance of information in the development of a modern information society; FC-2. The ability to solve standard tasks of professional activity on the basis of information and bibliographic culture with the use of information and communication technologies and taking into account the basic requirements of information security; FC-3. Ability to use basic methods, methods and means of obtaining, transmitting, processing and storing information. FC-6. Ability to perform instrumental measurements in information and telecommunication networks, telecommunication and radio engineering systems; FC-7. Readiness to monitor compliance and ensure environmental safety; FC-8. Willingness to promote the introduction of promising technologies and standards; FC-9. Ability to accept and develop new equipment in accordance with current regulations; FC-10. The ability to install, debug, adjust, adjust, test performance, test and put into operation facilities, means and equipment of telecommunications and radio engineering; FC-12. The ability to carry out work on managing the load flows of information and telecommunication networks; FC-13. The ability to organize and implement occupational health and safety measures in the process of operation, maintenance and repair of information and telecommunication network equipment, telecommunication and radio technical systems.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: ЗН1 explain the results obtained as a result of measurements in terms of their significance and relate them to the relevant theory; ЗН5 understanding and compliance with domestic laws and international normative documents on issues of development, implementation and technical operation information and telecommunication networks, telecommunication and radio technical systems; ЗН9 the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in at least one of the areas of radio-electronic and telecommunication systems and networks: radio-electronic systems, telecommunication systems and networks, information networks and communication, technologies of design and production of telecommunications equipment, design of software and hardware systems, software development of embedded systems , administration of information communication networks.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Information transmission systems" is one of the basic disciplines in the training of radio engineers in the field of telecommunications. Mastering the educational material will provide understanding for application: knowledge of technical characteristics, design features, purpose and rules of telecommunication and radio-electronic operation of equipment and equipment for solving technical problems of the specialty; to calculate, design, project, research, operate, repair, debug telecommunication and radio-electronic equipment and equipment typical for the chosen specialization; work effectively both individually and as part of a team; identify, classify and describe the operation of systems and networks and their components.
Опис: 1. Principles of formation of channel signals by subscriber equipment of transmission systems Purpose of multi-channel transmission systems (MCTS). Classification and general characteristics of primary signals. Recommendations of the ICRC for the main types of messages. Evaluation of quantitative ratios in transmission systems. Classification of relative values of signal transmission levels. One and two-way transmission systems. 2. Multiplexing methods Criteria for choosing a modulation method for SP with CHRK. The principle of construction of transmission systems with frequency separation of channels. The structure of the multi-channel transmission system with the CHRK. General characteristics of the linear section of the SP with the ChRK. 3. Main features of TSP The use of AIM-modulation for the construction of SP with ChasRK. Chapter 3. Digital transmission systems of the plesiochronic hierarchy Formation of the structure of the transmission cycle of PDH flows (plesiochronic digital hierarchy) (Е1, Е2, Е3, Е4, Е5) - TSP with ICM Principles of synchronization of the TSP plesiochronic hierarchy (PCI) Structural schemes and transmission cycles of typical digital channels of PCI. Regeneration of signals in digital linear paths (DLT), methods of intersymbol interference correction. Permissible value of VER according to the recommendations of the ICCTT in CLT and quality regulation according to indicators of permissible VER in channels and tracts of the CSP. The method of determining the nominal length of the regeneration section of the CLT for CSPs that use the transmission medium of metallic LZ. Chapter 4. Telecommunication systems of transmission of synchronous digital hierarchy Scheme of formation of STM-1 synchronous transport module and STM-n synchronous transport modules. Synchronous multiplexers and their modes of operation. Architecture and topology of the construction of SCI networks. Examples of networks based on SCI technology in Ukraine. 5. Peculiarities of functioning of networks with packet switching. Basic structures of telephony support in packet-switched networks. 6. Asynchronous operation mode of information transfer using ATM, FR, IP technology. Architecture of VoIP connection protocols. 7. Trends in the development of sound signal compression methods. Speech signal compression efficiency. Methods of compression of the form of speech signals. The principle of bit stream formation in coders of the G. xxx standard. Recommendations for the use of known methods of compression and coding of speech signals. Principles of building radio relay and satellite transmission systems based on technologies of packet and channel switching of information flows.
Assessment methods and criteria: Testing on topics passed (in a virtual learning environment). Protection of laboratory work in the form of a survey based on completed reports. Examination control (written component – tests and individual task, oral component – survey based on the list of questions to be studied and submitted for semester control.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (PC): performance and defense of laboratory work - 14 points, practical classes - 26 points. Examination control (EC): written component - 40 points, oral component - 20 points. The total number of points for SC: SK= EC+PC = 60+40 = 100 points Exam: is assessed by written and oral components (the exam ticket contains questions of three difficulty levels, the maximum number of points is 60); current control: a set of points for the performance of laboratory and practical tasks (completed laboratory and practical reports are submitted in writing and defended orally, the maximum number of points is 40).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
