Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline is the engineering training of students in an amount sufficient for production, practical and research activities in the field of design and operation of radio engineering devices and systems.

Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. 3. GC7. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. 4. GC13. Ability to system thinking. professional: 1. PC4. The ability to perform computer modeling of devices, systems and processes using universal application program packages. 2. PC6. Ability to perform instrumental measurements in information and telecommunication networks, telecommunication and radio engineering systems. 3. PC9. Ability to accept and develop new equipment in accordance with current regulations. 4. PC10. Ability to carry out installation, adjustment, adjustment, adjustment, experimental verification of performance, testing and commissioning of facilities, means and equipment of telecommunications and radio engineering.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline student must know: -general principles of construction of radio communication and broadcasting systems; -modulation types, used in radio communication, radio broadcasting and television; -principles for the construction of radio recievers; -principles for the construction of radio transmitting devices; -general principles of the organization of TV broadcasting networks; - features of the main systems of color television; - the basics of constructing digital television systems.
Required prior and related subjects: Methods of generation and formation of radio signals. Fundamentals of the theory of radio engineering systems. Radioautomatics. Methods of reception and processing of signals. Analogue electronic devices.
Summary of the subject: In the process of teaching the discipline, the principles of construction and operation of radio and television systems and devices are considered. The features of the schematic implementation of individual nodes of radio and television devices are considered. Significant attention is paid to the study of the features of the construction and operation of digital radio and television systems of the DAB and DVB standards. The physical foundations of television are considered, the main systems of analog color television are reviewed, and the prerequisites for the transition to of digital television, as well as the relationship between the parameters and characteristics of analog and digital television.
Опис: Radio communication and radio broadcasting systems. General principles of radio communication organization. Classification of radio communication systems. Features of distribution and use of radio waves. Radio wave bands used in broadcasting and television and their features. Types of modulation used in radio communication. Radio receivers for radio communication systems. Basic parameters of receivers and their nodes. Input circuits, preamplifiers, mixers, amplifiers of intermediate frequency. Automatic gain control in recievers. Automatic Frequency Adjustment Systems, PLL Systems and networks of audio broadcasting. General information about sound broadcast systems, path formation of programs. Tract of primary distribution of programs, construction of broadcasting broadcasting network. Prospects for the development of broadcasting Radio transmitting systems of radio communication systems. Block diagram and basic characteristics of radio transmitters. Generators, frequency multipliers. Frequency synthesizers, modulators and output stages of amplifiers of radio transmitters. Physical basis of television. The structure of the human eye, the properties of the vision, are essential for the construction of an effective television system and their consideration in the construction of the television system. Fundamentals of the three-component color theory. Fundamentals of Optics of Television Systems. Generalized structure of the television system. Simultaneous and timely transmission of information about the elements. Parameters of the schedule of the image on the elements. Influence of the elements of the timeline element on sharpness and image clarity. Types of openings, raster, ordinal and interlaced scans Classification and structure of television systems A generalized structural scheme of the broadcasting television. Choosing a broadcasting system for color tv and choosing color tones. Features of NTSC Color TV system. Features of SECAM Color TV system. Features of the PAL Color TV system. Digital methods and means of broadcasting television. The structure of the television raster. Sampling frequency. Quantization on the level. Formation of digital streams.
Assessment methods and criteria: Сurrent control (30 %): laboratory work; exam (70 %, written-oral form).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
