Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to the study of basic technologies and methods of building telecommunication systems and access networks, both wired and wireless The student must learn how to deploy, operate and maintain the access segment of telecommunication networks.
Опис: Lecture classes: 1. Introduction to access systems and networks 2. Virtual local area networks 3. Practical aspects of routing between VLANs in access systems and networks 4. Principles of DHCPv4 in access networks 5. Implementation of IPv6 in access networks: advantages and practical aspects 6. Wireless networks in access systems and networks: WLAN technologies and standards 7. Principles of routing. Static routing 8. Dynamic routing Laboratory classes: 1. Basic switch and endpoint settings 2. Implementation of VLANs and trunk channels 3. Configure routing between VLANs 4. Implementation of DHCPv4 5. Implementation of the IPv6 subnet addressing scheme 6. Setting up a wireless network 7. Setting up static routes 8. Setting up OSPFv2 Independent work: 1. Preparation for training sessions and control activities 2. Passing tests on the passed topics 3. Passing tests for the defense of laboratory reports 4. Preparation for the exam
Assessment methods and criteria: Testing on the topics covered (in a virtual learning environment). Defense of laboratory work in the form of a survey on completed reports. Examination control (written component - extended answers to questions and solving problems, oral component - a survey on the list of issues to be studied and submitted for semester control.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control consists of two components: 1. Intermediate control - conducted in the form of testing on the topics covered in the virtual learning environment, for which each student receives the appropriate number of points. 2. Defense of laboratory work - conducted in the form of a survey and in the form of testing according to the guidelines for laboratory work in the virtual learning environment. Examination control consists of two components: 1. written - - conducted in writing. 2. oral - conducted in the form of a survey, where the student answers any questions in accordance with a pre-approved list of questions.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material component, which is contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, ability to analyze the phenomena studied, their interrelation and development, clear, concise, logical, and sequential answers to the questions asked, ability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is awarded for generally correct understanding of the educational material component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions asked, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, and the ability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 70-50 points - ("satisfactory") is awarded for weak knowledge of the educational material component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, violation of the sequence of presentation, and weak application of theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not passed" with the possibility of retaking the semester exam) is awarded for not knowing a significant part of the educational material component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-learning) is awarded for not knowing a significant part of the educational material component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to orient oneself when solving practical problems, and not knowing the basic fundamental principles.
