Мета вивчення дисципліни: Getting to know the basics of the architectural profession, mastering professional terminology, studying the types of architectural spaces and objects, mastering the basic principles and methods of architectural activity, acquiring practical skills in sketching graphics and presenting author's solutions.

The ability to comply with the requirements of legislation, building codes, standards and rules, technical regulations, other normative documents in the fields of urban planning and architecture when carrying out new construction, reconstruction, restoration and capital repair of buildings and structures, creating a barrier-free architectural and urban planning environment. Ability to develop architectural and urban planning solutions taking into account safety and sanitary-hygienic, engineering-technical, technical-economic requirements and calculations, requirements for environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, inclusiveness. SK15. Ability to perform computer modeling, visualization, layout and preparation of visual illustrative materials for architectural and urban planning projects. SK16. Awareness of the general theoretical, methodological and creative principles of architectural design. SK23. The ability to collect and systematize information regarding the current needs of the country, the urban community in the development of the architectural environment.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Introduction to the specialty" allows you to familiarize yourself with the content of the professional training of an architect at the university, educational and methodological resources, methods of study and independent work. The purpose of the course is to master the basics of the architectural profession, to study the types of architectural spaces and objects, to master the basic principles and methods of architectural activity, to acquire practical skills in sketch graphics and presentation of author's solutions. The result of studying the course is the acquisition of primary professional knowledge, abilities and skills necessary for further independent design of architectural and urban planning objects. The lecture part introduces professional terminology, types of architectural spaces and objects, modern directions of architecture, elements of city architecture and urban environment design, structure of buildings, teaches to analyze examples of modern buildings and structures of world architecture. Students get acquainted with the basic principles and methods of architectural activity, modern design methods, study the main types and sequence of project implementation. The basics of interior design are considered: functional zones and ergonomics of living space, room layout and furniture arrangement, interior design methods. The types of architectural composition of a residential building are analyzed, the study of modern technologies and materials, types of finishing materials, work with catalogs of materials for drawing up a building passport is provided. Types of architectural activity, professional competencies and positions, types of professional tasks, forms of project presentations, social activity, self-development, professional and creative communities are considered. The practical part of the course teaches how to work in an architectural Internet environment, find and process the necessary information, use professional terminology, provides practical skills and skills in sketch graphics and presentation of author's solutions. A group educational activity based on the simulation-role method of work of an architectural office in the development of the concept of the city of the future is provided. Students perform a number of individual search tasks: studying the structure and sketches of modern architectural objects; sketch proposals of interior design according to the specified requirements and wishes of the conditional customer; development of options for decorating facades and roofs of residential buildings.

The basics of the typology of architectural objects, public and residential buildings, the structure of the house, exterior and interior, examples of modern buildings and structures of world architecture. Modern technologies and materials; types of finishing materials, architectural composition of a residential building, work with catalogs of materials, building passport. Architectural activity. Types of architectural activity, professional competencies and positions, types of professional tasks, forms of project presentations, social activity, self-development, professional and creative communities.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: oral survey in practical classes, checking of group and individual tasks. Final control: control work (test form, online).

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - certified with an “excellent” grade - High level: the student demonstrates an in-depth mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, systematic knowledge, skills and abilities of their practical application. The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
