Summary of the subject: This discipline is the second part of the group of disciplines "Drawing, painting, sculpture", which consists of three parts, which are taught consecutively in the I, II, III semesters of study. This stage of study by architects of fine arts disciplines consists in mastering the basics of academic drawing, the basics of working with plastic materials. The study of the discipline takes place in the conditions of drawing from nature. The learning process is accompanied by the presentation of general theoretical provisions that reveal the main regularities of the process of drawing, painting and sculpture and the provision of individual consultations by the teacher during work on the task. In the process of performing practical tasks, the teacher demonstrates technical methods of work, principles of using tools and materials, methods of solving compositional tasks and constructive construction. The basics of drawing, painting, and sculpture are studied on still lifes, in the interior, and outdoors. Educational productions are distributed in a certain methodical sequence according to the complexity of the task. The main themes of the drawing are: geometric shapes, architecture and its surroundings. The main themes of painting are: realistic and decorative still lifes, architecture and its surroundings. The main themes of the sculpture are: architectural details and building elements.
Опис: Auditory work. Topic 1. Painting: Still life of household objects in the grisaille technique. Topic 2. Painting: Still life warm or cold scale. Topic 3. Drawing: drawing of the interior of the main building of Lviv Polytechnic University (light and shadow solution). Topic 4. Sculpture: a copy of a complex plastic decorative ornament. Topic 5. Sculpture: a copy of an architectural element of a building. Architectural element of the student's choice (pediment, portal, entablature (fragment), window frame with sandric, bracket) Independent work. Task 1. Drawing and photographing an architectural element, as preparation for the performance of a classroom assignment on sculpture. Task 2. Painting: a sketch of the interior or exterior of a historical building.
Assessment methods and criteria: Determining the level of students' knowledge is carried out by the following methods: current control of the student's classroom and independent work at the end of each topic. Current control: evaluation of tasks completed in laboratory classes, checking of individual tasks of independent work. Final control: summation of grades for laboratory work assignments and independent work assignments.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The composition of the drawing elements on the sheet is evaluated. Definition of the general nature of the forms. Proportional relationships and constructive analysis of forms. Perspective construction of forms - the correctness of volume construction taking into account perspective reductions relative to the horizon line. Volume detection. The transfer using chiaroscuro, the volume of forms and their components, the ratio of chiaroscuro work, the transmission of reflexes, own and falling shadows is evaluated. Technique of performance. The mastery of the technique of pencil graphics, the quality of applying hatching to convey the effects of aerial perspective and the texture of the surface of forms are evaluated. The quality of the color solution for paintings. Integrity and completeness of work. Creative approach in performing decorative stylization tasks and independent works.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
