Required prior and related subjects: Fundamentals of architectural design, part 1 Fundamentals of architectural design, part 2 Architectural design of residential buildings Architectural design of public buildings and structures
Summary of the subject: The content of the discipline "Architectural design of a residential group with a public function, a working project" allows you to easily master the main trends in the design of ecologically oriented residential groups. The discipline is designed to train a modern highly qualified specialist in the field of architecture and design. In the basis of the discipline, auxiliary topics of practical provisions that reveal the main regularities of the design process are consistently laid. This practical course provides an opportunity to see the common features of the methodology of project activities based on the acquired knowledge from special and additional disciplines. The place of an educational discipline in the system of professional knowledge is determined by the knowledge and ability to develop an artistic image and constructive elements, to draw up project documentation at the stages: "sketch", "design concept", "project", "working project". The course "Architectural design of a residential group with a public function, a working project" clearly outlines the methods and methods of organizing architectural and spatial solutions for the organization of residential groups with a public function, ensuring environmental friendliness and energy efficiency using architectural and technological methods, formulated tasks for the course project, namely: evaluate the site and the design environment, rationally use resources and solve the tasks at the urban planning level; create a compositional and spatial scheme of the organization of a residential group, its functional zoning and the interaction of its elements, filling with functions; be able to plan and organize individual housing units in compliance with project requirements and concepts. Already at the very initial stage of design, the plot and structure of the settlement are modeled, the social order is understood, initial data are accumulated for choosing one or another spatial scheme of the future group, taking into account the purpose, technical capabilities and stylistic features of architecture, as well as climatic conditions and local national traditions.
Опис: The educational discipline "Architectural design of a residential group with a public function, working project" is aimed at the formation of students' professional knowledge and skills necessary for the development of complex architectural projects of residential buildings in combination with objects of public purpose. The discipline covers all stages of design — from the conceptual development of an idea to the creation of working documentation necessary for construction. Tasks of the discipline: 1. Analysis and research of the context: Understanding the urban, social, economic and environmental conditions that affect the design of residential complexes. 2. Design of residential buildings: Development of concepts for residential groups of various sizes and formats (blocked, low-rise and medium-rise buildings). 3. Integration of public functions: Creation of social infrastructure facilities (schools, kindergartens, shops, sports halls, etc.) within residential groups, providing convenience for residents. 4. Ergonomics and functionality: Design of premises taking into account the needs of residents, optimization of areas, accessibility for all population groups. 5. Development of a working project: Preparation of drawings, plans, facades, sections, detailed schemes. 6. Building norms and rules: Study and application of normative documents, such as DBN (State building norms), European standards, etc. 7. Aesthetics and architectural style: Creating harmonious architectural solutions, taking into account modern trends in the design of residential and public architecture. The main topics of the course: 1. Architectural concepts of residential construction: typology, functionality, ergonomics. 2. Integration of public spaces into the residential environment. 3. Social significance of public functions in residential groups. 4. Working with the context: site analysis, landscape design, ecological integration. 5. Use of modern materials and technologies in residential construction. 6. The process of creating a working project: from sketch to detailing. 7. Assessment of economic efficiency and environmental sustainability of projects.
Assessment methods and criteria: availability of all necessary drawings and visualizations; professionalism and quality of execution of drawings and visualizations; the quality of the graphic design of the course project; level of presentation of the course project.
