Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the academic discipline is to create favorable conditions for the personal development of students' personalities in the process of forming an active civic position and a sense of responsibility in society. The course has the potential to become a factor in the reconciliation of different models of historical memory, a means of constructive social dialogue about past and present problems of social development, integration and consolidation of Ukrainian society. This discipline stimulates students' development of critical thinking and analysis and adequate evaluation of historical and cultural information, motivation and self-identification of the individual based on knowledge of the history, cultural and scientific heritage of society.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation of the necessary competencies in students: - general: ZK2. The ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology and technologies, to use various types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. ZK3. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge.

Summary of the subject: In the context of modern integration processes in Ukrainian society, the study of the basic directions of NU "Lviv Polytechnic" by the educational discipline "History of Statehood, Science and Culture of Ukraine" involves the acquisition of civic and socio -cultural competence as an integrative quality society. Problems of the history of science and technical education is an important component of the course, which provides the opportunity for future professionals to get acquainted with the achievements of past generations for the harmonious development of society in the context of the system "Nature-human-technology". Scientific and technical achievements have a unique potential for influence on the pace of human development, promotes the processes of transformation of society, stimulates socio-economic changes that determine the vector of development of civilization. Trained specialists are able to get a constant sense of belonging to the national community, learn to make independent decisions, make a weighted choice, predict the development of science and society in the future.

Assessment methods and criteria: 100-point rating: current control - 45 points (polls. presentations, oral and written answers); final control - 55 points (credit), including creative work " The history of my family against the background of historical and cultural processes of the XX - early XXI centuries. ”

We are talking about oral conversations with relatives and acquaintances, as well as written sources (letters, diaries, memories, birth certificates, marriage, photo materials, documents about some activity - employment book, membership card of some organization, military card, documents about job assignment, position, newspapers covering the activities of relatives, etc.). You can also use books on the history of your native village, town or city, which may contain references to representatives of your family (weight in the assessment of the task - 3 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
