Мета вивчення дисципліни: Training of specialists capable of designing, operate, ensure safety at nuclear facilities, c including physical nuclear safety, manufacturing, installation, adjustment and repair, creation of new equipment and implementation of the latest technologies.
Завдання: The ability to solve specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of atomic energy, characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions, using the theories and methods of mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering sciences. - the ability to learn and master modern knowledge; - the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. - skills in using information and communication technologies. - ability to work in a team. - the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. - the ability to communicate in the state language both orally and in writing. - the ability to make informed decisions.
Learning outcomes: Understanding the broad interdisciplinary context of specialty 143 Nuclear power. Choose and apply typical analytical, calculation and experimental methods for solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of atomic energy; correctly interpret the results of the performed research and calculations. Identify, formulate and solve the problems of atomic energy; understand the importance non-technical (society, health and safety, environment, economy and industry) constraints. Carry out calculations of objects of the nuclear energy complex, products, processes and systems in the field of nuclear energy that satisfy specific technical, economic, legislative and other requirements, which may include awareness of non-technical (society) selection and application of an adequate design methodology. Apply general and specialized software, as well as programming skills to solve professional tasks in the field of atomic energy. Use scientific and technical literature, databases and other relevant sources of information for the development and justification of technical and managerial decisions in nuclear energy. Apply the methods of physical, mathematical and computer modeling for the purpose of detailed study and research of engineering issues in at least one of the areas of atomic energy. Know, understand and apply regulatory documents, engineering practice standards and safety rules when solving professional tasks.
Required prior and related subjects: All disciplines of the bachelor's level curriculum
Summary of the subject: The qualification work should involve the solution of a specialized tasks in the field of atomic energy.

Assessment methods and criteria: Defense of the bachelor's qualification work at the meeting of the attestation commission for the defense of bachelor's qualification works.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Final control (control event - bachelor's qualification work): written form (100%).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: The manager evaluates the work in the manager's feedback, pointing out the strengths of the work, noting the weaknesses of the work, if any. The reviewer evaluates the work in the review. The final assessment of the qualification work is formed based on the results of the public defense before the members of the EC. 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze phenomena , which are studied, in their relationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
