Obtaining information about the purpose, structure, principle of action and features effective and safe operation of electrical equipment, its management and protection. Mastering the calculation of parameters and characteristics and evaluation of technical and economic indicators of electrical installations, sufficient for the successful performance of the relevant professional responsibilities
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: general: • the ability to apply the acquired knowledge based on a professional approach to the main technological and related equipment within the limits of a type of occupation at the level of a specialist with a first-level qualification of higher education; • the ability to communicate effectively at a professional level; professional: • basic knowledge of theory and methods of analysis, which are necessary for understanding the principles of operation and functional purpose of electrical equipment; • acquisition of knowledge and understanding in the field of electrical engineering, related to the principle of operation and characteristics of electrical equipment, as well as their functioning in combination with other equipment; • ability to apply acquired knowledge and practical skills to solve typical problems specialties, as well as operation of electrotechnical and electromechanical systems; • the ability to put forward arguments regarding the properties of electric motors necessary for a specific technological process, as well as to reasonably choose electrical equipment. • acquisition by students of the skills of applying the acquired knowledge with sufficient competence for further study of special educational disciplines. information, ideas, problems and solutions regarding electrical devices of the audience consisting of both specialists and non-specialists; • the ability to use knowledge and skills for calculation, research, selection, implementation, repair and design of electrical and thermal systems and their components;

Carry out process analysis in electric power, electrotechnical and electromechanical equipment, relevant complexes and systems. 4. Mental 10. Understand and demonstrate good professional, social, and emotional behavior, and maintain a healthy lifestyle life. 5. Mental 11. Know the requirements of regulatory acts related to engineering, intellectual property protection, labor protection, and technology safety and industrial sanitation, take them into account when making decisions.

Summary of the subject: Fundamentals of electric circuits laws. DC electric circuits. Electric circuits with sinusoidal and sinusoidal alternate current. Three-phase electric circuits. Transients in electric circuits. Types, constructions, operating principle and equivalent circuit of transformers. Equations of electrical balance of transformer. Asynchronous motors. Structure, features, equivalent circuit, electromagnetic torque, speed-torque characteristics of asynchronous motors with squirrel-cage and phase-wound rotor. Start and rotation speed control, power factor. Single-phase asynchronous motors. DC motors, speed-torque characteristics, rotation speed control. Structure, features of synchronous motors, start control methods, main characteristics. Electrical micromachines.

Topic 4. Three-phase electric circuits. Topic 5. Electric circuits of non-sinusoidal current. Topic 6. Magnetic materials and their properties. Topic 7 Transformers: purpose, structure, principle of action. Topic 8. Asynchronous electric machines. Topic 9. Synchronous electric machines. Topic 10. Structure and principle of operation of a direct current machine.
Assessment methods and criteria: Oral examination, performance of test practical tasks, laboratory reports, exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • written reports on laboratory works, oral questioning, term project (30%) • final exam (70%)
