Мета вивчення дисципліни: The general goal of the discipline "History of Art, Architecture and Design" part 1 is to master the main theoretical concepts of art and architecture from the earliest times to the Middle Ages, to study and understand the monuments of architecture and art on the basis of formal and iconological analyses, the development of professional erudition, as well as high the level of aesthetic artistic taste and creative approach in a combination of traditions and innovations in professional activity.
Завдання: Integral competence (INT) The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of design, or in the learning process, which involves the application of certain design theories and methods and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions. General competencies (ZK): ZK.1. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of the professional activity. ZK.4. Ability to search, process, and analyze information from various sources. ZK.7. Appreciation and respect for diversity and multiculturalism. ZK. 9. The ability to preserve and multiply cultural, artistic, ecological, moral, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and the development of society, techniques, and technologies, to use various types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. Specialty Competencies (KS) KS5. The ability to apply knowledge of Ukrainian and foreign art and design history in artistic and project activities. KS11. The ability to succeed in a professional career, develop and present visual presentations, and a portfolio of one's own works, and possess entrepreneurial skills for carrying out design activities.

To know the assets of the national and world cultural and artistic heritage, to develop eco-culture using design PRN14. To use manifestations of Ukrainian mentality, historical memory, national self-identification, and creative self-expression in professional activities; apply historical creative experience, as well as successful Ukrainian and foreign artistic practices. PRN15. To understand Ukrainian ethno-cultural traditions in the stylistic solutions of design objects, to take into account the regional peculiarities of ethno-design in artistic practices. PRN18. Display morphological, stylistic, and color-textural properties of design objects. Communication (KOM) KOM1. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English, German, Italian, French, Spanish); KOM.2 The ability to use various methods, including modern information technologies, for effective communication at the professional and social levels. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired new professional knowledge. AiB3. Summary of the subject: The course "History of Art, Architecture and Design" is one of the basic in the training of specialists in the specialty "Design". This course aims to provide students with a basic knowledge of the theory of visual arts, starting from the general hierarchy of types and genres, including analytical consideration of tectonic and compositional structures of three-dimensional works, as well as decorative and pictorial composition. In the process of studying the discipline, the historical stages of the genesis of primitive art and its development in the following epochs of the Ancient World and partly of the Middle Ages are covered. Much attention is paid to worldly factors that affect the development of certain forms and images. The lecture course includes the most important monuments of world architecture, fine and decorative arts, sculpture. Teaching the history of Ukrainian architecture and art is carried out simultaneously with the coverage of historical and artistic processes of world art culture

The main types of the tectonics of works of decorative and applied art. What are ornament and decor? The origin of the ornament. 2. PRIMITIVE ART OF EUROPE, ASIA Emergence of primitive art and syncretism. Naturalistic art of primitive hunters. Paleolithic art of the Aurignacian era (40 - 30 thousand). Art of the Madeleine era (15 - 10 thousand). Mesolithic art (10 - 7 thousand). 3. THE ART OF CIVILIZATION OF THE GREAT GODDESS. PRIMARY ART IN THE TERRITORY OF UKRAINE. Neolithic petroglyphs and ceramics (6-4 thousand). Meander Engraved images from the Kyryliv parking lot. Works of Paleolithic art from Romanivska settlement. ANCIENT ART AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE MIDDLE EAST (I) The oldest period of the art of the Two Years (Neolithic 6th - 4th millennium BC) art of Sumer and Akkad (late 6th - 3rd millennium BC). 6. ANCIENT ART AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE MIDDLE EAST (II) Art of Babylon and Phoenicia. Architecture and sculpture of Assyria (XIII - VII centuries). 7. ANCIENT ART AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE MIDDLE EAST (III) Art of Ancient Iran. 8. ART OF ANCIENT EGYPT OF THE EARLY AND ANCIENT KINGDOMS. Predynastic period. Neolithic ceramics (5th millennium BC). Eneolithic slate pallets and ritual statuettes (IV - III thousand). Art of the Early Kingdom (3rd millennium - 19th century). Pyramids and sculptures of the Old Kingdom (2800 - 2300). Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%): practical work, individual graphic task. Final control (60%): test (written) component of the exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: When evaluating tasks, the completeness of the composition of the completed task, and compliance with the assigned tasks are taken into account: - the ability to identify and work with visual materials according to the themes of primitive and medieval art styles; - the ability to analyze the defining and stylistic characteristics of works and methods of their compositional construction when sketching details, ornaments, and interior and exterior elements; - to show creativity and a creative approach in the technique of submission, layout on a sheet - to present the materials of graphic tasks on time and in the necessary amount.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: During the semester, a student can score up to 40 points for current control. The maximum score for the exam is 60 points. To be admitted to the exam, a student must score at least 20 points for the current test. 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
