Мета вивчення дисципліни: To study analogs of conceptual design in the field of visual communication in printed products, in advertising design, in multimedia space, to apply conceptual approaches in the search for communication in the design of installations, performances, scenographies in animated clips of information presentation and advertising nature. Based on the reviewed material, propose different concepts of visual communication design on the topics recommended by the course. The goal of conceptual design is to give a social or commercial idea a clear visual and artistic image and ensure effective communication. Apply methods of checking the effectiveness of transmission through visual signs, images and symbols, including verbal ones, of an informational message. The object of study of the course is new concepts of the formation of iconic, figurative and symbolic structure of visual communication and the basis of artistic design of subject complexes for tasks in the field of visual communications, which act as a preliminary stage of the design of a communication product and are presented to the customer at the conceptual level.
Завдання: 1. Learn to consider the initial social, consumer, production, technical and technological cultural situation for the formation of a design concept and formulate a short project task based on it. 2. Determine the main idea of a visual message and design a program for its implementation. 3. Learn to form the idea and intention of artistic project work in the form of a plan of stages of searching for graphic elements of visual communication. 4. To reveal inherent technical and technological innovations in the field of media communications, which determine radical changes in the interpretation of graphic and multimedia design. 5. To ensure a meaningful unity between the informational message and the images representing the idea, the essence of the socio-economic phenomenon. 6. Know the conceptual interpretation of signs, symbols and images in philosophical, semantic and technical-technological contexts, as well as ways of using sign systems in the formation of visual message concepts. 7. To understand the achievement of ways to satisfy the needs of the target audience through graphic symbols, emotional equivalents of products, services and processes, transformed means of visual communications. 8. To make a logical system of artistic design work that appeals to the real needs of the consumer and society. 9. Search for design ideas at the level of sketch design in the field of printing, advertising, and multimedia. 10. Apply graphic and multimedia design tools in the formation of artistic communication, which answer the recipient's questions "why" and "how". 11. To be able to search and create a unique language of artistic communication based on the stylization of graphic design components. 12. To develop such a language of artistic communication, where verbal and visual communication will stimulate the birth of new contents. 13. Apply software and computer graphics that satisfy the dynamics of searching for a conceptual solution in the field of graphic design. 14. To be able to propose solutions to the problems of energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, harmonization of media channels and media carriers with the natural environment at the conceptual level of design.
Learning outcomes: Understand the basic ideas of the development of mass culture and mass art, technical and technological heritage of mankind. Understand the social and technical-technological interaction, experience, processes and strategies that together determine the conceptual nature of design. This involves understanding people's needs and ways to meet them through products, services and processes. Know the conceptual interpretation of symbol signs in philosophical, semantic and technical-technological contexts. Identify the subject area and its social and technological needs, within which the project work is conducted. Understand the psychological factors that affect effective visual communication and the creation of objects complexes. Be able to assess a specific cognitive situation, within the current project task, and identify only those features and motives for future design that are meaningful "here and now" and can dramatically change the approach and effectiveness in visual communication or in the formation of objects and their formation. The student must know the main types of conceptual design, its dependence on the factor of visual and verbal communication, cultural contexts, natural and artificial environment. Search for design ideas at the level of sketch design in the field of printing, advertising, multimedia, industrial products, furniture, exhibition and trade equipment. Evaluate conceptual design objects from the standpoint of its economic efficiency and humanitarian good and the level of aesthetic solution. PRNV2.1. Understand the importance and meaning of pre-project research, analog analysis and be able to use the obtained results in the design of visual communications. PRNV2.3 Orient in a variety of modern software and hardware tools, use knowledge and skills of working with professional computer support. PRNV2.4. Apply a complex artistic and design approach to create a holistic image of objects of visual communications. PRNV2.7. Use basic theoretical and methodological concepts and principles in the design of visual communications. PRNV2.8. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding of the subject field and the sphere of professional activity in practical situations, as well as during the presentation of finished projects. Summary of the subject: Conceptual design expresses the essence of the main idea of communication or subject, which is the basis of artistic design, its formation and visualization. The object of study of the course are new concepts of formation of symbolic, figurative and symbolic structure of visual communication in mass culture and the principles of artistic design of subject complexes at the conceptual level. Ways of implementation of innovative humanitarian and scientific and technical hypotheses in the field of visual communications, industrial and multimedia design are considered. The program provides a classification of creativity, namely: in the design of visual-communication, multimedia and subject spaces, according to which new ideas of artistic communication and three-dimensional formation are studied. Practical tasks of sketch search of graphic and subject design at the level of visual idea. The main work of the conceptual design of the course relate to the tasks of visual identification and navigation, interface graphics, board and virtual games, installation and exhibition, trade equipment, furniture and interior decoration.

Evaluate objects of conceptual design from the point of view of its economic efficiency and humanitarian benefit and the level of aesthetic solution. Conceptual design is implemented according to one general theme of a commercial nature, which is chosen by the student independently after studying the initial situation and socio-economic needs. The design is performed at the conceptual level based on the media media and media channels proposed by the course program and art objects recommended in the cultural space. It is required to present text verbal ideas in the form of an essay and a broad sketch proposal, submission of graphic and spatial components of visual identification, navigation of advertising at the stage of formulation of the general idea. The idea of the visual presentation must be related to a commercial project, the implementation of high-tech production, or the production of products with zero energy consumption, technologies and design of renewable energy sources, organic food products. The program involves the task of conceptual solution of a spatial object of design, which is the development at the level of the idea of scenes with a pre-developed scenario of installation, flash mob, performance, street art, new concepts of forming a visual message and spatial solution using the light effects of lasers, fire and smoke shows, fireworks and those.
Assessment methods and criteria: The course of lectures, practical classes and course graphic work are evaluated comprehensively. Current control of lectures (seminars) - 20%. Final control - tests, oral answers - 30%;, abstract on the specified topic presentation of design ideas - 50%.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline "Conceptual design (CP)" is to gain experience in creating unique spaces based on the search for an alternative to existing analogues. On the basis of the knowledge acquired in previous years, students learn not only to solve a certain design problem in a previously unknown way, but also to create their own problems that were not treated in this way. It is possible to work in teams, initiatives involving energy self-sufficiency and social inclusiveness are supported. With the help of practical experience, the discipline helps to understand social and technical-technological interaction, experience, processes and strategies that determine the conceptual nature of design, to know the conceptual interpretation of signs and symbols in the philosophical, semantic and technical and technological contexts.
Завдання: After studying the academic discipline, the student should be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: 1. understand and analyze the design of the task and its creative potential; 2. be able to conduct pre-project research, study typologically similar samples and give them a critical assessment; 3. be able to set innovative tasks in the field of design and propose ways to solve them; 4. operate with the concepts of novelty and surprise as applied qualities of the spatial environment; 5. demonstrate mastery of a variable approach in design, conduct self-analysis of completed proposals; 6. execute a set of design and presentation materials, be able to establish visual communication with the intended target audience; 7. to be able to interpret the content of one's idea in the context of current phenomena of environment design, to have a terminological apparatus. 8. to understand the main ideas of the development of mass culture and mass art, technical and technological property.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Conceptual Design" is a component of the educational and professional program "Environmental Design", a comprehensive professional training of students of the first (bachelor's) educational and professional level in the specialty "Design". The discipline requires the student to have a sufficiently high level of professional knowledge and the ability to apply it to solve complex creative tasks. Conceptual design expresses the essence of the main idea of communication or subject, which is the basis of artistic design, its formation and visualization. The object of study of the course is new concepts of the formation of iconic, figurative and symbolic structure of visual communication in mass culture and the basis of artistic design of subject complexes at the conceptual level . Ways of implementing innovative humanitarian and scientific-technical hypotheses in the field of visual communications, object and multimedia design are considered. The discipline is aimed at the practical implementation of the intellectual experience gained during training and understanding of the current situation of the design of the subject-spatial environment. A series of practical classes aims to provide students with the experience of creating an environment that has unique individual qualities, solving an existing problem, with the possibility of formulating the problem itself. The obtained results make it possible to record the creative level and potential developed by the student during the preliminary study.
Опис: Lectures are not provided. Practical classes – 60 hours (full-time education), 20 hours. (correspondence form of study). The purpose of practical classes is the development of creative thinking and the crystallization of the student's creative personality. Acquisition of experimental design skills, a unique solution to the subject-spatial environment.
Assessment methods and criteria: Determining the level of knowledge and skills of students is carried out by the following methods of control: checking current classroom work and course project.
