Мета вивчення дисципліни: The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of the history of interior design. This is an overview of significant general (world) trends in the history of interior design and a representation of the multitude of forces and influences that shaped the forms and characterized the social role. In the lecture course, parallel familiarization with the state of society, its political and economic life, with various spheres of human activity at each stage of development is carried out, which enables the student to understand the development of design itself in the context of social life.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation and development of the competencies of students: Integral competence (INT): The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of design, or in the learning process, which involves the application of certain design theories and methods and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions. General competences (CG): ZK1. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. ZK4. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. ZK7. Appreciation and respect for diversity and multiculturalism. ZK9. The ability to preserve and multiply cultural, artistic, ecological, moral, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, techniques and technologies, to use various types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. Special (professional, subject) competences (KS): CS5. The ability to apply knowledge of the history of Ukrainian and foreign art and design in artistic and project activities. KS11. The ability to achieve success in a professional career, to develop and present visual presentations, a portfolio of one's own works, to possess entrepreneurial skills for carrying out design activities.
Learning outcomes: As a result of training, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: PRN7. Analyze, stylize, interpret and transform objects to develop artistic design solutions. PRN13. To know the assets of the national and world cultural and artistic heritage, to develop eco-culture by means of design. PRN14. To use manifestations of Ukrainian mentality, historical memory, national self-identification and creative self-expression in professional activities; apply historical creative experience, as well as successful Ukrainian and foreign artistic practices. PRN15. To understand Ukrainian ethno-cultural traditions in the stylistic solutions of design objects, to take into account the regional peculiarities of ethno-design in artistic practices. PRN18. Display morphological, stylistic and color-textural properties of design objects. Communication (COM): СOM1. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish); СOM2. Ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technologies, for effective communication at professional and social levels. Autonomy and responsibility (A and R): A&R1. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. A&R2. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired new professional knowledge. A&R3. The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. A&R4. The ability to popularize national and world cultural heritage, as well as to promote manifestations of patriotism, national self-awareness and ethno-cultural self-identification. A&R5. The ability to form environmental consciousness and personal culture, to apply ecological principles in life and professional activity.

Summary of the subject: The course "History of art, architecture and design part 5" is one of the basic courses in the training of design specialists. The course covers hours in the 5th semester. The course includes a theoretical part, as well as independent work. The theoretical part of the course covers materials that highlight the key stages of the development of world interior design of the XIX-XX centuries, including Victorian style, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Modernism trends, Postmodernism era, examples of modern design and directions of its development are also given. The theoretical part of the course describes the development of design since the Industrial Revolution, tells about technological innovations in the field of interior design, new concepts and stylistic trends in design. In the lecture course, parallel familiarization with the state of society, its political and economic life, with various spheres of human activity at each stage of development is carried out, which enables the student to understand the development of design itself in the context of social life. The history of interior design describes in detail the beginning of the era of industrialization, mass production, and the development of corporate design. The program includes several lectures devoted to a general overview of the development of design in Ukraine. This course has been taught since 1998, the analogues of the working program are unknown.

Becoming a decorator profession. 7. Post-war Modernism. 8. Consumer culture. 9. Era of Postmodernism. In practical classes, students receive the following tasks: 1. Sketch summary. Graphic management of the synopsis of lectures #1-9 2. Illustrations of design products from the lecture material (9 illustrations).
Assessment methods and criteria: Determination of students' knowledge level is carried out by the following control methods: testing (final), survey (current and final), control of the student's independent work. Differentiated assessment is a mandatory final form of control, which allows to evaluate the systematic assimilation of educational material from "History of Design" and cannot be reduced to the level of current forms of control.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: During the semester, a student can score up to 30 points (for current tasks). In order to be admitted to the differentiated assessment, a student must score at least 25 points based on the results of the current control. The assessment of the discipline "History of Design" is conducted in written form. Includes a written test and an oral component for which a maximum of 70 points is awarded. Thus, the summation of the written test and the performance of practical work and graphic work gives the number of points of the final control.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
