Learning outcomes: • know the basic processes associated with the processing of biological materials and the use of biological agents, such as cells, enzymes or antibodies; • be able to use basic methods and techniques of bioengineering (cellular and genetic) for the development, preparation and improvement of new drugs for medicine, pharmacy, agriculture and food processing; • the use of these methods in a specialty OF A work and prospects of cellular and genetic engineering.

Summary of the subject: Basics of Cell Engineering. Basics of genetic engineering. The method of cell culture and tissue. Biotechnology higher plants. Hybridoma technology. The process of gene expression. Tools of genetic engineering. Sequencing DNA. Applied aspects of cell and genetic engineering. The state system of biosafety at the time of genetic engineering in Ukraine.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports of laboratory and practical training, oral examination (40%) • final control (50% control measure, exam), written-oral form (10%)
