Summary of the subject: Raw material for obtaining of industrial biologically active compounds and protein drugs. Typical technological scheme of synthesis of microbial feed protein. Specifics of growing feed yeast depending on the type of raw material. Microorganisms-producers, conditions of cultivation, technological options and specifics. Biotechnology of fungal protein. Specifics of cultivation of fungal cultures - producers of the protein, the advantages of fungal protein. Biotechnology of obtaining aminoacids by microbiological method. Obtaining of L-lysine, L-glutamic acid, L-tryptophan, separation, purification, drugs based on them.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports from laboratory work, oral questioning, final test – 30 points • final control (test) –70 points (written-oral form)
