Required prior and related subjects: 1. Mathematics for Economists, Part 2 (Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics) 2. Informatics 2. Management
Summary of the subject: In the course of studying the discipline "Information systems and technologies in economics" the future economist acquires the following theoretical knowledge: - mastering the basic theoretical concepts that reflect the content of the process of computerization of the business management system; - study of the processes of creation, implementation and development of information systems on the basis of system analysis and standardization of their life cycle; - formation of practical skills of working with software products intended for automation of enterprise management processes; - to study the structure and features of integrated corporate systems used in enterprise management systems. As a result of studying the discipline the student should: a) to know - tendencies of development of processes of informatization of society and to understand the necessity of their application in practical activity; - composition, structure and functionality of modern information systems implemented on the principles of ERP-systems; - tools for information modeling of management processes using graphic international standards as tools for implementing semantic domain models; - information resources of enterprises and organizations and to apply in practice the management of their economic activity; b) be able to: - to simulate business processes and information flows that accompany them using international methodologies and tool platforms for their implementation; - formalize professional knowledge, perform economic tasks and solve them using modern software tools; - use applied integrated information systems in the management of enterprises and organizations; - to make management decisions on the basis of intelligent computer tools based on modern technologies of work with data (OLAP-technologies, Data Mining technologies, neural networks technologies of analytical data processing); c) have a clear idea of: - international and national standards for the creation of modern information systems, the content of the main technological operations of data processing; - concepts of ERP-systems and principles of their creation; - information business, information market, information service and information infrastructure of the business, its information resources, which are key elements of the enterprise management system; - modern systems of telecommunications, and features of implementation on their basis of the latest information technologies in the system of decision-making at the business; - methods and tools of computer-based decision-making.
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of knowledge in the normative discipline of the specialty "Information systems and technologies in economics" is carried out on the basis of the results of current and final control of knowledge (test). The object of student knowledge assessment is program material of discipline of different nature and level of complexity, the mastery of which will be checked accordingly during the current control and on the test. The task of the current control is to check the understanding and assimilation of theoretical material, to develop practical skills of working with the use of specialized software tools in the performance of laboratory tasks. The goal of the test is to test the student's understanding of the program material as a whole, the logic and interconnections between individual sections, the ability to creatively use the accumulated knowledge, the ability to form their attitude to a particular problem of the discipline. Assessment of knowledge is carried out on a 100-point scale: the tasks of current control are evaluated in the range from 0 to 44 points, and the tasks taken to the credit are evaluated in the range from 0 to 36 points, as well as for the performance of individual calculation work - 16 points. Current control of full-time study is carried out during laboratory classes, in the process of consideration of program questions in the forms of discussion of students topical control issues of discipline, performance of laboratory work, evaluation of the results of their independent work and individual tasks. The final control of students' knowledge is carried out in the form of credit by performing their test control tasks. Assessment of students' knowledge during laboratory work is carried out in the following forms: - Survey of theoretical material; - evaluation of laboratory work both during the class and independently at home; - evaluation of participation in discussions, summing up of issues considered in the laboratory class; - evaluation of control work. For laboratory classes, the maximum number of points is given according to the following criteria: - survey - for a complete and thorough answer to a given question on the topic of the lesson; - performing situational exercises and tasks - for the proposed correct algorithm (sequence) of solving the problem; for knowing the theoretical foundations of the problem posed in the task; for mastering formulas and mathematical methods necessary for solving a problem; for the correct result. - participation in discussions, summing up the issues under consideration - for knowledge of the theoretical bases of the problem, the ability to argue their point of view, the ability to conduct the discussion correctly. Control work is evaluated according to the following criteria: - for correct calculations, correct conclusions and recommendations (maximum score - 10 points); - for correct and complete answers during work protection (maximum score - 10 points). The number of points given to a student for practical training and individual control work may be reduced: - for incomplete answer - by 0,5 points; - for each wrong answer - by 1 point; - for errors in calculations - by 2-3 points; - for untimely submission of individual work check - by 3 points. The actual number of points a student receives as a result of each type of control is translated into a 100-point mark by the following criteria. 6.
