Learning outcomes: Students are expected to acquire following knowledges: - the economic basis of functioning of enterprises in the conditions of market; - factors that influence on efficiency of enterprises activity; - economic content of resources, structure and form of resource providing; - ways of more rational use of resources: progressive methods of planning forms of organization of production; - estimation indexes of effectiveness of activity; - the strategy of cooperation of enterprises with the markets of labour resources; - forms and systems to attract workforce to the enterprise the influence of effective management of labor resources on labour productivity growth, formation and use of income of enterprise; - productivity; - ways and methods of increase of efficiency of the use of labour resources, increase of cost of human capital. Students are expected to acquire following skills: - to apply the methods and techniques of management with the aim of effective use of labour resources the enterprise; - to determine the enterprise needs for the workforce; - to apply the methods of efficient use of labour resources of the enterprise in order to increase productivity and profitability.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Basic management. Corrections: Marketing, Statistics, Introduction to speciality: HR management and labor economics.
Summary of the subject: Labor and social-labor relations as a subject of scientific economic research. Content, nature and types of work. Humanization of labor. Population as a demoskonomic category. Economically active population. Labor Resources as a Socio-Economic Category, Labor Potential of a Society. Development of the concept of human capital.Human capital as a socio-economic category. Methods of economic evaluation of the efficiency of investing in human capital. Business conditions and features of the labor market. Interaction of demand and supply in the labor market. Features of job offers in a crisis economy. Infrastructure of the labor market. Socio-economic essence, forms and types of employment. Unemployment as a social and economic phenomenon.Indicators of employment and unemployment of the population and their dynamics in Ukraine. State regulation of employment in Ukraine. Taking into account the inclination, abilities when choosing a profession and work Self-marketing. Writing a professional resume. Labor career: concept, meaning, types, planning and implementation.
Assessment methods and criteria: Final control (defence of course project – 100%): - theoretical task (20%), - analytical-applied, diagnostic and designing tasks (60%), - oral questioning (20%).
