Learning outcomes: As a result of study of educational discipline a student must be able to show such results of studies : 1. to know basic physical concepts, sizes, phenomena and laws of physics, that is needed for the next study of the special disciplines; 2. to know units of basic physical sizes, and able to use the method of analysis of dimension for verification of the got analytical formulas; 3. to understand physical nature of processes that is used in professional activity of specialist, and able to distinguish major from them; 4. able independently to plan and conduct a simple physical experiment, process and analyse his results; 5. able to use current measuring devices for measuring of sizes, mechanical, electric and optical sizes; 6. to have the formed skills of analysis of behavior of the physical systems and untiing of tasks from the different areas of physics, related to untiing in the future of engineering tasks in accordance with the profile of preparation, and to conduct the computer design of behavior of the investigated systems in the following; 7. to have the formed wide theoretical preparation with the purpose of to help to the students to apply new, modern physical ideas and principles in the professional activity; 8. to have the formed ecological and ethic culture, and skills of prognostication of consequences of concrete technical decisions for an environment; 9. to have skills of absolute observance of rules of accident prevention during work with an equipment.

Summary of the subject: The course of general physics is intended for the acquaintance of students with the basic course of physics (mechanics of forward and rotatory motion, oscillation and wave, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electrostatics, electromagnetism, electric current, wave optics, caloradiance, atomic and nuclear physics, elements of physics of solid) at university level of complication, id est with the use of methods of higher mathematics for the receipt of analytical descriptions of difficult physical processes. The study of this course envisages also untiing of tasks, and implementation of laboratory works with the next study of treatment of results of measuring, mastering at the necessity of methods them graphic presentation, by the estimate of errors of measuring, and analysis of the got experimental results. The course of physics serves as basis for understanding of physical side of processes that take place in the real industrial options, and helps to create the mathematical models of corresponding processes for CASS of management.
